Villa Palms is not the best, but it's not the worst. They do a good job. The owners are concerned people. Some of the staff members are pretty good, but mom has only been in there about a month, so I don't have a good opinion yet. The rooms are fair; nothing outrageous, but they're OK and clean. My mother eats pretty well; she always complains about food, so it must be OK. They keep the place nice. Mom has dementia, so she can't get around too much, but she does go out in the yard or watch TV.

The rooms are small, turnover is continuous and they can't keep an administrator. There are no activities for the residents. My sister-in- law was told she would have a private room but then didn't and only when we decided to move her did they put her in the smallest room ever. Her glasses were stolen as well as 90% of her clothes. No one cares about these people, the owner lives out of state and won't return calls.. please don't put your loved one there.

I didn’t like Villa Palms that much because it didn’t look so nice. It was a small house, and they were all confined there and cannot go anywhere. I didn’t like their setup so much. It didn’t look clean, and the garden outside was not well taken care of. Inside, it was a very small place, and they were all cramped in a room watching TV. I don’t think they have the staff that they need. It seemed like the people cannot do anything because they looked to me like they were really helpless, they don’t go anywhere, and they depend the staff. But I didn’t see too many people working for them. I only saw the owner, the son, and another lady. I didn’t like it, and it didn’t look too clean either. When I went there, I knocked on the door, and they took a while to open it because they were fixing the residents inside. But when I got in, it didn’t look that great. It didnt look like a place that I would want my husband to go into.

This is the closest thing to family living that I have seen.

While searching for a place for my friend's mother to live, we visited the Festa Enterprises (Villa Palms) assisted living facility. We really liked the well-kept park setting because the outdoors have always been a big part of my friend's mother's life. His mother is very sociable so will enjoy all of the various activities and cultural outings and events offered. The residents are regularly encouraged to participate in a variety of activities, from exercise classes, to things such as creating artwork, playing group games and taking trips into the city for all kinds of fun adventures. A variety of fresh, healthy foods are offered and suit all dietary needs in a nicely designed and comfortable dining room. Snacks are available all day every day. The private rooms were all nicely sized and decorated. The staff and management were very accommodating and eager to make the residents and visiting families comfortable.
