I stayed for assisted living respite care at Allegro Fort Lauderdale. What I liked the most was the food. Everybody was also super nice. They were there and were really super helpful, and everybody is very kind. The physical appearance is top-of-the-line. The care and services are just fine, and I'm very satisfied. The staff was fabulous. I was shocked by the menu. It was two pages, and it was for every kind of diet you could think of. It was all you could eat, and if you asked for a second, you certainly got it. I asked for seconds on desserts, which I always got. There were plenty of activities. There were cooking demonstrations and things like that. Everybody gathered around for the football game and for sports, although I'm not into any of that, so I was on my own. It was $8,500 a month, which I thought was outrageous, but they're really top-notch at what they do, and considering the other places I looked at, which were horror stories, when I found this place, it was a great improvement.
