Thanks for your review EG! Although it was a short stay, it was an absolute pleasure to have your mother with us here at Joe’s Place. We wish your mom was able to participate in the various activities and events offered to our residents. In addition to the twice a week shopping at Walmart, Target, Publix, and various other shopping centers, the City of Cooper City provides transportation to our residents at no additional cost (excluding special events). The Active Adults Program provides transportation to events, activities, and medical appointments; picking up our residents from the front door of Joe’s Place and bringing them back home. In addition to bingo and yoga, there are many activities and events offered to our residents, such as Zumba, Line Dancing, Salsa, Water Coloring, Ceramics, Quilting, the Book Club, the Walking Club, weekly movies, and monthly birthday celebrations. There are also monthly field trips such as luncheons at venues including Club 19 or Cracker Barrel, and shows such as “Madama Butterfly Met Opera Experience at Cinemark”, and “A Christmas Story” at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The staff, Marlene, Lizzy, Harriet, and myself, all enjoyed working with your mom and we wish her the very best in her new home.
