Mom moved to Bethesda Gardens Monument. I like their whole setup. It didn't look like a typical nursing home. It was very nice. The people are very friendly and it's a smaller community. She's involved in many activities that they have every day all day long. Whether it's music or bingo, art projects or, different tech companies come in. They have entertainment for them, music and stuff like that. The food is very good. They have a different menu every day. They also have a menu that you get to choose from. They have a set menu for every resident unless there's something that they don't like. They have their other menu that has regular sandwiches or hamburgers.

Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care was our first choice for my mom. It's a wonderful community, the staff is very caring and we would have moved her in a heartbeat. However, they wouldn't take her because her need level is way too high, and she's difficult. There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. I thought it was a beautiful facility and the care staff seems to be very on the ball. They seemed to be very experienced and already knew what the problems were. I didn't have to explain to them. She doesn't want to eat, and they know how to feed her to get her to eat. She doesn't want to take her medications, but they know how to get her to take her medication. I would live at Bethesda Gardens, honestly, I thought it was beautiful. They were very knowledgeable and very caring. They have all kinds of things, an activities room and my mother could have painted if she lived there. They have puzzles set out, you can socialize, they have a coffee shop, and they have events several times a week. They have a calendar up of all kinds of events that you can go and partake in. There's just always something to do.

What I liked about Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care, Monument was the cleanliness. You walk in there, and it smells good. It was sparkling clean. Everything seemed new and well kept up. I was impressed with that. The room I was shown was impeccable. It was impeccably clean and in good condition. It was like being in a very fine hotel room. The staff members were very friendly, very sharp, and answered all our questions. You could tell that they are there because they want to be. It's something that they enjoy doing and means a lot to them. It's not just a job to them. So we were very impressed with them and felt like our mother would be in good hands. I haven't eaten there, but their menu was good. I saw people doing puzzles. They have crafts and church services.

We toured Bethesda Gardens Monument and we really liked it. We really would have probably actively looked into that one for Dad. We were impressed by them. They had studios and one-bedrooms, and it seemed like a pleasant area. The place looked clean. We were impressed by it. The atmosphere felt good, clean, and safe. It's close to where we live now, within ten or 15 minutes from our place. The hospital is 15-20 minutes away.

My grandma lived with me for 5 years before she started needing assistance that I nor my husband could provide. We moved her to this facility a little over a year ago and were very surprised at how well she adjusted. It is a smaller community so everyone knows each other which I know helped. I love seeing my grandma being greeted by everyone in the hallways! She enjoys her meals, especially the variety of soups they serve. While living with us, she had no social life so it is wonderful to find her out and about each time we visit. The nursing staff treats her as if she was their grandmother and it truly puts us at ease as we're leaving. After touring several communities, I am so grateful to have found this place.

My mother is in Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care, Monument. It's been a really good experience so far. The staff is very good with her and helpful. It's clean and nice. I don't have any complaints so far. They bring her medications, and they've been all pleasant and professional. Her apartment is like a cross between a studio and a little one-bedroom apartment. They take little bus trips, have game nights and arts, have an exercise room and somebody comes and does individual leg balance work three times a week, and they have a little library. It's a new facility.

Bethesda Gardens Monument is a beautiful community. The food looks good, and the staff is great, but it's not affordable. You have to have a lot of money to go there. They offer all kinds of things, like church, ladies' nights, and movies. They just have a lot of different activities. The rooms were beautiful, well-maintained, and new.

My brother moved into Bethesda Gardens. Its only seven minutes from my house, so I can see him quickly. That is a big factor. Its a combination of assisted living and memory care, so a person can go there and stay there essentially until the end of his or her life. Its a mixed environment, and the people in memory care come out and join in the activities of the assisted living people. As long as he doesnt need skilled nursing, he can remain there as long as he wants to. He goes off on hikes, on tours, abd they have all these programs. Except for the fact that his unit is on lock down, the rest of it is very positive. Its a new place, there's some issues with the staff learning the job, and learning how to work with people with memory and dementia-type problems, but nothing serious. So far, were very pleased and happy that thats where he is. Even though he has dementia, he gets treated like everybody else, and not a second-class citizen. This is the best place for him regardless of the price.

Bethesda Gardens was new, small, and the rooms were a nice size. The rooms were bright inside, there was a lot of natural light coming in, and there were doors that went out into the courtyard. It was very clean and centrally located. The staff members seemed to be very nice, helpful, and accommodating.
