My friend moved into Stone Creek at Flying Horse Senior Living. The community is very good, very friendly, resident-centric, and highly accommodating. Great patient care. They are very helpful. The food, the accommodations, and the care they give the residents are excellent. Very attentive. The nursing care has been great. I was just there yesterday. She had finished her breakfast, and the omelette looked delicious. She ate it and enjoyed it. When she moved in, they rolled out the red carpet, and they had a ribbon-cutting ceremony. They take service excellence to the highest level. The office staff came in one by one to welcome her. The following day, different CNAs and NAs introduced themselves and let her know, " We're gonna be helping to take care of you and making your stay here pleasant." When I go over there, I see people coming in and out of her room, asking how she is doing or doing her laundry. Tim and Ashley are the two administration people that I worked with; they recognized that my friend could use a higher level of care, and they had the hospice care come in and do an evaluation to see if she qualifies for hospice care. They also ensured she had the proper equipment, including a new bed, mattress, bathroom chair, height-adjusted fixtures, and incontinence supplies. I cannot say enough good stuff about the staff. They have a very nice activity and craft room. They have rooms where you can go in and do puzzles, play cards, and they have a nice courtyard where they even do happy hours for the residents. Everybody that I've seen there, even the residents eating in the dining room, they smile back, and they seem happy. I have not heard anyone complaining. The staff seemed like they enjoyed being there, and they enjoyed working together. It's beautiful, and there are enough employees around if you need somebody.

The facility is lovely. Management since October 2024 is a nightmare! We have had billing issues, issues with LTC insurance submissions, and a lack of responsiveness to documentation and billing information since my MIL moved from independent living to assisted living. She relocated to another state in March 2025. I am still awaiting the submission of the final invoice to her LTC provider for reimbursement. Still. No one will return my email or calls.

I toured StoneCreek of Flying Horse Senior Living. I liked the facility. It was very clean, and the people were very nice. I am a little concerned about the size of the kitchen area. I don't cook, but I need space to put toasters and things. The other negative I have is that it's farther from my home, which isn't a negative for some people. Also, there's going to be a major road going through, and I'm not sure how close it'll be to the facility. They have a doctor and a nurse available, a hot tub area, and all the amenities. They have the food, activities, and everything, pretty much. The staff who gave the tour was very nice.

We did not like StoneCreek of Flying Horse Senior Living. It was very new, bright, and shiny. We didn't like the food. My wife just said that if they cut the price in half, she still wouldn't go. We didn't like the fact that you had to go down a whole flight of stairs outdoors and across a parking lot and then down a bunch of sidewalks to get to any of the senior places to live. That part just completely blew us away. I could just imagine the next morning that it's icy and wind blowing out there, and you have to get up if you're going to breakfast or any meal and plough through the snow. The rooms, apartments, and houses that they had available were nice, but the prices were way too high. The staff was nice enough. The girl that took us around worked hard, and one of the other staff came over and talked to us and invited us to come join in a game.

Moved my brother out today. Found him in very poor health condition; admin and “wellness director” were unaware…too busy sitting on their butts in their fancy offices. Under staffed. Poor housekeeping. They don’t follow care plans and don’t even do the simple tasks such as laundry, bed changing, emptying trash, bed making. They dumped my brothers clean? Laundry in his closet in a trash bag one week; he thought they lost his clothes for several days. They did lose his bed sheets. Food service is inconsistent and they even ran out of milk for a couple of days once. They run out of food items as well and serve whatever they can find. Many younger, in-mature staff goofing off, and on their phones a lot. No RN on site. Kitchen staff is always short handed and blasting hard rock music so loud you can hear it down the hallways. Advertised podiatrist visits; not true. They act like a hotel instead of an assisted living facility, helping people and getting to know them. Can’t be trusted. They advertise and promise dentist visits, dermatology…but end up being in consistent with this and I found out later they don’t have doctors come in; they are nurses. Lots of promises and lies when you check in. My brother was bullied by other residents during card playing in an activity room, twice. Housekeeping is poor; no dusting for the entire 5 months. Dirty bathrooms. They cleaned the shower ONE time in 5 months. No sanitizing or hand washing between resident care or upon entering residents rooms. Staff turnover is frequent. Lazy staff sitting around on their phones and gossiping EVERY time I show up for a visit; including the director. I found 2 cock roaches in my brothers room as I was moving him out. Beware.

My 90 yo Mom currently resides at Stonecreek of Flying Horse and has lived there since March. She loves it! The staff and management are very involved, attentive and lovely to work with. They had some major changes in leadership months ago and I would now highly recommend this facility for everyone!!!!

My mom moved into Stone Creek of Flying Horse. I'm impressed with the facility. We've had a couple of hiccups with the staff, so we just need to get those resolved and everything will be fine. I think the meals look really good. I had dinner with her there. It was really yummy. The varieties that I've seen have been nice. They do have a gym. You sign a waiver to use it. They have a salon. I've not used that yet with her, but I know that it's there. It's been too cold to go out in the courtyard. For me it works out really well. It's ten miles from my house, and the area itself is nice. It's near an ice cream store, so that's most important; my mom likes ice cream. It's fairly close to some shopping.

Don't send anyone you care to this facility. Poorly run facility with short staffing. My mother in law was in for 4 months and it was terrible. during the last month had to pay an additional $31/hr for someone to take care of my mother in law. Leadership should be fired. They said they would do things but did not.

I toured Stone Creek of Flying Horse in Colorado Springs and I saw the independent living. I met the manager there who was very helpful in telling me that they could not accommodate my dad and what he needed because he needed more than they could offer me. She was particularly helpful. It looked like they had a nice dining area. I didn't see any meals served, but it looked like a very nice and new facility. The room I saw looked very large and I remember they had nice closets. They also have very large hallways. The lady who gave me the tour was very friendly and had a good customer approach. She seemed patient, she didn't seem overly rushed. She did have a lot of people looking, so for her to remain patient under that, was great. The facility is brand-new and hardly populated.
