"I have chosen them for my husband. I like that it's more of a home-type setup. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. They made me feel at ease. Activities were going on and it was a more free-moving situation. We saw one-bedroom apartments and they were good. They provided privacy to the individuals, which gives them a level of dignity. We went to the dining room and then there was a TV room and we got to see the outside area. There's a deck with a grill and table and chairs and then there's a garden area and a very large backyard. I was quite impressed with that. I liked it. The facility was quite clean. We saw the memory care and I liked that it was very secure. You couldn't go in and out, and the doors were locked down. Everything worked out as far as my needs, my husband's needs, and location."

"The front desk staff and manager have been willing to go above and beyond from picking up stuff from my mom’s apartment to be donated to checking on her daily. "

"So far, everything seems to be working fine here at Brookdale Tamarac Square. We do quite a few excursions, shopping, and movies. They serve lunch and dinner daily. We have on-site nurses, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They make me feel very welcome."

"We were pleased with The Meridian (Englewood). It was clean, quite a lot of staff, very friendly, and more within our budget. It was not as new as the other place, but it was renovated, and it did look very nice. We saw a couple of apartments, and they were fairly spacious and comfortable. It was well decorated, comfortable, and smelled very wonderful. A couple of the residents told us they enjoyed the food very much. There were one-bedroom and two-bedrooms available on one floor, which was a full-time nursing facility, and those were shared rooms. They had movie nights, sing alongs, some activities, and transportation to the grocery store, to the library, and other specific events. It was a very good option. "

"I love Harvard Square. Friendly staff, good food, they are doing a renovation and it looks great. There is always a lot going on for the residents and the management really care. Happy place "

"It was a nice place. I liked it. It was good, friendly, homey, and comfortable. The staff and residents were very friendly. The rooms seemed nice, and the food was delicious. They had art classes, library, cards, and tai chi classes."

"My mom is in assisted living and we've found that the people here are very caring and provide the best for her. She loves her caregivers and it's great that she's able to make friends in the community. My sister and I would definitely recommend Brookdale University Park to anyone."

"I visited Parkplace 2 years ago and then I was there last February. The tour was wonderful. The staff was professional, friendly, and kind. They answered all my questions. It’s a very defined, upscale, top notch, and very elegant facility. It’s very old. They’re starting to remodel and repaint many of the rooms. They’re working on brightening them up because they’re darker, smaller, and older rooms. They invited me for dinner, and I stayed. A very pretty and large dining room with a beautiful ceiling. They have a nice, varied menu. You can order a la carte or from different parts of the menu. You could pick and choose what you want. The reason I am thinking of going there is because they have an indoor, heated pool and water arthritis classes 6 days a week. They have a nice workout room with big windows. They have a nice, little library and you feel like you’re in a very elegant New York hotel when you walk into the lobby. "

"Everything was fine. However, my ex-husband has Alzheimer's and that place is for seniors who are active. Also, for my ex-husband, that big of a place is going be a little too much. Nevertheless, the place was enjoyable. I did like the way how the place looked for the people. It was a nice place. It seemed like the people there were very happy there. The rooms were fine; however, you have to supply the bed, the linens, their towels, etc. "

"I have chosen Balfour Senior Living because it's very beautiful. Their staff is very nice. The food is excellent. It's the most beautiful place you'll ever see. There's a saltwater swimming pool. The staff members have been wonderful. They're outstanding."

"My dear Mother in law is a new resident there and She LOVES IT ...she was so lonely in her independant living apt. Cried all the time ...she is 89 , has alittle dementia but love all the activities, the food is great .. and it is centrally located for her friends to visit . God helped us find her a great palce small // like 36 beds/ but home away from home ... Praise be to God . "

"I live in Auburn Ridge senior apartments. It's in a great location. We have a lot of activities. They have cards, games, birthday celebrations every month, and potluck every month. There are a lot of really nice people and good management. It's a very pleasant place to live and I love my apartment."

"MorningStar at RidgeGate is the most welcoming of all the places I visited. They're gracious and kind. It's a lovely place. They offer lots of things that I like. They offered me lunch there, which was good. The food was good; I would like to go back. They have a lovely restaurant, a bar area, and a snack place. They have eight or 10 models of different units, so they have lots of choices. I like the grounds, too. They have a place where you can go for assisted living and an Alzheimer's unit. I'm going into the independent living. There are lots of friendly people. The restaurant was full of people. I'm Catholic, and they are putting together program where they will take people right to St. Thomas More on Sunday. The lunch was very good. I liked everything. I'm a very fussy eater, so to me, that was a good sign because they had choices that I was happy with. The staff that I interacted with was gracious, and the other people I met at the desk were very nice. The place was very nice."

"Parker Senior Living by MorningStar has independent living, assisted living, and memory care. It's a good place, and I like it. My parents' room is very nice and big. The bedroom is bigger than any other bedrooms I've seen in other places. The kitchen area is nice and roomy. The building is all brand new, up-to-date, and clean with nice, big windows in the rooms. They have a lot of activities and a very nice dining room. The food is better in the assisted living and independent living areas. They get to pick off a menu, which is nice."
