"Brookdale Skyline gave me a good walk-through. I was interested in one of the stand-alone homes, and those were the ones that I went to see. One of them that Ash took me to was just perfect, and that's where I am now. I like the amenities, I like the property, and the fact that I could have my own little house instead of being in an apartment. That may come one of these days, but right now I'm not ready for that. They have a ton of amenities and activities. You can sign up monthly for different places that the bus is going to go, or if you don't want to drive. Today, they went to the Pioneer Museum. There's a doctor right there on campus during the day. There's a swimming pool where they have swimming classes. They have dancing classes, Chair Tai Chi, different exercises, and different kinds of things every single day. There's a library, a craft room, and things that I don't even know yet. The staff is excellent. They provide meals, and the food is decent."

"I toured Mountain View Independent Living, and the most important thing is that they made it about me. I had looked at other places, other communities, 55 communities, and trailer parks, and sometimes I waited a long time after we made the appointment, but they made me feel like I was important to them. It was so neat right off the bat, and they wanted to know everything. They wanted to fit what I wanted. I looked at the studio. Three other people and a man lived there. He let us go through his house. He was as welcoming as ever. The person who took me around kept saying that when I would bring up anything, she would say, "Well, now it's all about you." They weren't pushy, and they were awesome. She was the best. She was the one who smiled at me the minute I came in the door. They paid attention to me. The food smelled wonderful when I was there. It's like a restaurant. They're very professional and very clean. Folks were eating when we walked by. I loved the building, which was more than I expected, and the upkeep is great."

"I liked Melody Living Independent Living. It was beautiful, extremely clean, very inviting, and very attractive. The people were awesome. The lunch I had there was very good. It was just a very easy place to be. I can definitely see myself living there. They have great security. They have call buttons in each of the apartments to check in first thing in the morning. It lets security know you are up and OK. You check in at night to let them know you're going to bed. I liked that. They have exercise programs, a nice area for games (like card games and board games), a pool, a really nice socializing areas with a firepit, a hot tub, an exercise room, and a lecture room. There is music once a week (piano, guitar, or whatever's available). They have spiritual services on Sundays with guest speakers each week. It was a very nice place."

"I visited Palisades. It looked nice. It was a large, fairly new, and fairly upscale facility. However, it looked too much like a dormitory. The rooms looked OK. "

"The staff at Liberty Heights is very patient and caring. My mother’s room is very clean and adequate. They have cooking activities and activities on Valentine’s Day. "

"I would move in at MacKenzie Place myself. It was a lovely place, but expensive. They had all the facilities including a swimming pool inside, and the meals catered whether in your room or not, exercise equipment, and a physical therapist onsite; there wasn't anything lacking there. The atmosphere and layout was exceptional. The location was great, we had a meal there, and the food was very good. Instead of an apartment, it was more of a community type of thing because they offer housing as well and you could actually move into a house, a single unit, as well as apartment type thing. They had lots of activities and buses to take people different places. "

"My mother chose The Belcaro because they have nice, spacious, and modern apartments. They also have a little dog park which is a nice area for walking the dog. It's an over-55 building so they don't provide any food. There's also no one available 24/7, so you'd have to provide that for yourself. They have activities for the residents, and it's a really nice place. I would recommend this place to anyone who is fully independent, but not if they need more care."

"The location is not far and very convenient for me. I liked their rooms, their one-bedroom looked very comfortable. They have meals available, their activities, layout, they also have light housekeeping, and there were washers and dryers available, so it's good."

"We toured Aberdeen Ridge. They can enjoy the rest of their life in one place. The facility and the food are nice. The staff was very nice, and everything was brand new. They have several restaurants, a cafe, gyms, and pools. They have therapy. They have a book club and clubs for men and women, and they do outings all the time."

"The management is very kind and efficient. My father lived living there. He was always treated well. His room, a studio, was perfect sized, the staff kept it clean and neat.he enjoyed visiting with the staff. The other residents are pleasant and get along well together. Dad enjoyed the field trips to Walmart, casinos, seeing the leaves change, and the other outings. The in house activities were numerous enough for him to stay as busy as he wanted to be."

"My dad moved into Laurel Gardens Apartments. It's clean. Its security enclosed. They have staff and volunteers that are there. It's a community of people his age. Each apartment has a kitchen where they cook their own food. They have several activities, but right now with the COVID thing, they can't do squat. They have a little theater, they have a community room, they have laundry, and there is an area to relax out front and out back."

"I like Affinity at Colorado Springs. They don't have food, but they have housekeeping and they have elevators, which is a must. They have washers and dryers and step-in showers and these are all things that I need because my legs are bad. The layout of the room was standard. It's a nice layout. They didn't show me any activities because it was just coming out of COVID. They didn't really have any activities going at the time, but they have a lot of nice things to have activities like they have a pool room, which is a billiards kind of room, and then they have a separate building that has a heated pool in it. They have a wood shop, and they have a pub. It's very nice. The price was lower, but it wasn't for assisted living. I think it's just for independent living."

"I have met the manager of Regency Tower and she was very amenable that my mother can move a week early. They seemed to have very professional staff. I met a few of the residents and they were very friendly. They do provide meals. The apartment is very spacious; two bedroom, two bath, and a very large living room. It has very beautiful view with the mountain and the city. It has a swimming pool and a common area. Mom said she liked it a lot. "
