Liberty Heights was much better than the other one I visited. I liked everything that I saw. The only thing I kind of didn't like was the actual room that my mom would be living in. Not that it wasn't clean and everything. It looked very clean. It was just smaller than what she has currently and just more hospital-looking. I think it would be a great fit for someone that needs to be in a hospital bed all the time or sleep in a hospital bed. I don't think that's my mom just yet. I'm considering it, but I'm still looking at other places. The staff was very informative. They seemed interested in helping me and my mom figure out where she would fit best. It's a lot more relaxed and calming atmosphere. I wasn't exactly thrilled with the way the room was set up, but everything else was great. From what I saw, the facility was pretty nice.

We've visited Liberty Heights. It was a very good tour. My sister just didn't feel like that was where she would be the most comfortable. We talked with the director who gave us the tour. We did interact with one other staff member and she was very nice. The apartments were very nice. We just saw a one-bedroom apartment. They have an exercise room. We didn't actually see any of the activities going on at the time. They have a swimming pool there. It's for mature seniors. It was a very stately place, there's a lot of wood, and it's an older place, but it was beautiful. My sister just didn't think she would fit there as well. She just looked for a more casual place.

We have lived at Liberty Heights for 8 years. It's a good place. It has three levels of care, which is a plus. The people are nice. There are a lot of military retirees. I would say it's comparable to many other fairly upscale places. They have one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. We have art classes, card games, and exercise classes. They have a happy hour on Friday nights with live entertainment and dancing. They have outdoor excursions and bus trips to various places. We get two meals a day. You get breakfast, and you can choose your main meal to be lunch or dinner. It's an older building. They're in the process of doing a lot of remodeling. The layout is good because you have an attached garage. They have an indoor hallway to the dining room, so you don't have to go outside to get your meals. We checked out a lot of places, and we always come back to Liberty Heights. It's on the higher end, so it's not cheap. We have two bedrooms, so we're at the top of the line. The value is good. You get what you pay for.

Liberty Heights is a gated community, so you have to go through a gate and have your temperature taken at this point in time. Now with COVID, they really have to be careful about that. The staff members were all nice. We went into the main room, and it was very pleasant and very inviting, then when we went up to the memory care unit. It's a big place, and that would give us more opportunity to spend time with my mom in the future outside, like walking her out, or doing what she's capable of.

My aunt just moved into Liberty Heights. They have all the different levels of care, which is good. Everyone that we have dealt with there has been very efficient, professional, thorough, and everything has been good. She got a television in her room, windows, and she is comfortable with the bed that she has. The room is kind of what you would expect in a skilled nursing facility. It has all the things you need. It has oxygen in it and it's perfectly adequate. They initially would not accept visitations by appointment, however, they thought she might need visits more frequently, so they allowed us to have compassionate care visits whenever we wanted. They are great, we really like them.

They are like a used car salesperson. Whatever it takes to get you in the door and your loved one a resident. It has been a hassle from day one with empty promises and unreturned phone calls. The staff has been kind, management has been unwilling to budge -that is when I have heard from them. Promises a plenty upon signing the paperwork but my loved one still does not have what was guaranteed to her. They have not handled the COVID crisis well At All and frankly I am disappointed that my family has chosen Liberty Heights. I have been looking at other locations and plan to move my loved one as soon as this health crisis allows for such a move. With many options in the Springs, I would encourage others to do the same. There are 3 new facilities opening by the end of the year that look promising as well as others up North with more reasonable prices than Liberty Heights.
