My sister moved to Las Palmas Home Care. It's a very, very large home and a lot of space. Her room is private, it has a beautiful window, looking out at the beautiful hills of Fullerton, and it's comfortable. Everybody's very kind and her needs are met. It's well-run. When I first got there, I was just assessing the home. They were seated around a table in the dining/kitchen area, and some people were playing games, and that's what attracted me. There's a social component to this facility. They're expensive, but when you think of the work they do, it's worth the cost.

Las Palmas Home Care was really a home. It's not good at all and it's just as expensive as the rest of them. I didn't see anything there appealing. It's terrible. People were just sitting there doing nothing. I was very disappointed. I wouldn't put my dog there, let alone a person. My friend and I both walked out of it. We saw one lady who ran it and another lady. It's a regular house and the kitchen was there and we saw a bedroom, which was just a normal bedroom because it's a normal house. There was a pool, but it was fenced off. There was a fellow who came to visit his wife and they sat outside there, but the rest of them were just sitting in the front room watching TV. One lady was in another room that was probably the dining room, but now it was empty. She was sitting there and it had a TV. The staff said they have oatmeal and stuff for breakfast.
