"My husband was in daycare at Alzheimer's Family Resource Center. They had a very well-run program there. They're associated with a Hoag Hospital. They catered just to Alzheimer's patients and they were really knowledgeable. They did a good job with my husband. They had social workers that actually cared about the individuals. They had lots of engaging activities. They charged $95 a day but at that time, they had grants that would pay for the transportation. I never used that but it was certainly nice to have available. "

"I visited Irvine Adult Day Health Services Center. They had a great physical therapy program. They also had social workers and seemingly very caring staff. They would provide meal and engaging activities for their clients. My only concern there was they had patients other than those with Alzheimer's and I wasn't sure if they might be aggressive or what-might-have-you, so I didn't use their services, but they're worth checking out as well. They would charge $95 a day. "

They have dinner every month for the residents if they want to join in with dinner and entertainment. They have activities and games. They have outings."

"I own a residential facility and I feel very confident when I send my residents there everyday. The care and compassion they showed my residents gave me great joy. They're dedicated to make life easier and better for our seniors. They showed love to my residents. "

"The staff is awesome! They really love taking care of the elderly and they do a great job. They keep them safe, clean, well fed and stimulated. You feel welcome from moment you park your car out front of center. Everyone is there to help you and I love the attention they give their clients and me. It is the best adult day care center anybody can think of. They have great activities, Field Trips, and all sorts of fun games. They have clients with different medical needs. Some with limited mobility, dementia /Alzheimer’s, post stroke etc. Talk with the social worker Julie she really helped me with both of my parents getting into this program with no out of pocket for my parents or myself. "

"South County Adult Day was a very nice place. The tour was very lovely. They have very nice program there. It’s a very nice, well-run facility. I really liked the person who gave us the tour and the information that I’ve gotten from this facility. I would highly recommend the facility. They had arts and crafts, reading, newspapers, and menus every day. They offer a lot of activities. "

"Gardena Senior Citizens Day Care Center is the best ever day care center , i ever visited. My uncle was there and he was very happy at this day care center. At Gardena Senior Citizens Day Care Center special treatment and care is given to all senior citizen . The people working at this day care center are very polite and caring and they treat these people like there family members . the facilities at this center are very good . There is a very good TV lounge and also a very good recreation room all citizen people can also enjoy in lush green out field.The administration is also very good and there rates for caring are also very cheap. E very person can get benefit at this day care center . I like the way they handle some seriously sick and mentally disturbed patients. They treat them nicely and patience are very attached with these staff. This is the best center i can say. Only one negative thing is this that they are located out side the city but this is acceptable because of there facilities. "

"We were interested in Morningside Adult Day Health Care because it was convenient for me to visit from where I was working. The people were very friendly. They had activities like bingo, arts, dancing, and field trips to museums, the mall, and some casinos. The staff was very friendly, very informative and very warm. From what I saw, they had a nice sitting area outside with plants, so I could go there if they wanted to sit outside. They had an open area with a piano, where clients could sing. "

"This review is based on my visit to HealthGuard ADHC as I was looking for placement for a close relative: I visited this center in February 2015. I met "I" who introduced herself as a staff RN. This RN walked us through the facility, talking most of the time. It felt more like a show & tell sales pitch to me rather than being attentive and perceptive to questions that I might have for her and about the center. After the tour, I had sat down with a social worker to discuss details of care (in a office room because there was no other meeting place suitable for private conversation) when our mtg was unprofessionally interrupted (barged in would be more accurate) by RN "I" to say that I had exhausted her time and that of her staff unless I was an enrolled participating family member (she spoke with authority as if she was part of management/ownership). As we were walking out of this office door, someone had tried to call the social worker, no doubt to expedite our meeting to come to a close. This clearly communicated that they are not focused client needs nor fostering good relationships with potential family members. Simply put, those interactions translated to me that they were focused on the money making aspect of my visit. In addition, the outdoor patio is an extension of the black asphalt parking lot that's filled with their smoking participants. It's basically a smokers area with patio tables and chairs. Unfortunately with no closed off doors nor wall for that fact (I think it was one of those pull down garage walls), the center allows second hand smoke to infiltrate the adjacent indoor recreational room. This explained the immediate smell of cigarette smoke when I had walked into this center. I'm sorry but I can not endorse a Health center that doesn't advocate for the health of those who have no choice but to take in the second hand smoke (especially for those who are non-smokers and trying to enjoy the recreational activities). Perhaps your visit experience would be different but my experience was not positive. I gave one star because the social worker was nice, professional and attentive to our needs. "

"This was an amazing facility to visit. North Hollywood is an awesome area; with lots of attractions and it is within walking distance of sight-seeing, bus stops, and shopping - which the caregivers are able to take the client to with the client provider's permission. This is not like a nursing home at all... It is more of a place where family can drop their elderly loved-one off while they are at work and are unable to care for them during the day. The caregivers were laid back, friendly, and fun to be around. While I was inside, they offered me something to drink and a snack - and the clients there seemed very happy with the caregivers there. This is an excellent day-care facility for anyone that needs to go to work during the day while caring for their family member at night and weekends on their own. "

"Absolutely wonderful -they're taking great care of my dad, making sure that he is busy and has activities that are appropriate for his functioning level! Staff is extremely caring and gentle. Highly recommended. "
