"Emerald Court was very nice. It has easy access because they have two elevators. We had lunch there, and it was too much for us. They showed us an apartment and told us about all the activities they have -- such as bridge, all kinds of card games, karaoke once in awhile, and craft games. I was so impressed with this facility. When we are ready to move into a senior facility, we will be moving here. "

"My friend moved into Bliss Care Home. This is a boarding place. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very nice. Everything is very nice. It has a nice backyard, lots of fruit trees, an area where they can sit out, and a covered gazebo. Their living atmosphere is friendly, quiet, and nice. They have activities for the guests. The other three women that are there are nice. She has someone to converse with. I would put someone in there again if I had to. I would use their services again. I haven't found a problem with them."

"I went to Cogir of Brea. It wasn't spacious, but for the population, it accommodated them well. But it just didn't feel as warm as it seemed. It was very modern. It was more or less a hotel, I would say. They had a small courtyard and an arts and crafts type room. The dining area is more cafeteria-like."

"My mother is at Ivy Park at Bradford. They have a beautiful community. Their dining room is very beautiful and very elegant. They meet the needs of the people. If you don't want what they have for the day, then you can ask for anything else that's not on the menu, and people love that. They have activity rooms, everything from bingo to different crafts. You can go down and you can have food anytime during the day. You can have breakfast all day. They have beautiful patios. They have an indoor patio and an outdoor patio. My mother has her laundry done for her. They have a salon on the premises. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. They keep the place nice and clean. They have activities for everyone including physical activities, games, and movie nights. They even have happy hour, they have concerts, someone comes in and plays for them, and they celebrate parties."

"We are very happy with Emeritus at Brea. Everything there is good. My dad likes the food, and he gets good care there. We are happy with it. His room actually has a balcony with a sliding glass door. My dad has a table, chairs, television, a dresser, a bed, a recliner chair, a separate bathroom, and a pretty large closet. "

"My dad has just got there at Park Regency Retirement Center. I visited the location during my trip to California. It was quite busy at the time. Overall, I think the facility has a lot to offer. It's a very good and clean facility. During my visit, I had to make an appointment to meet one of the staff for them to tour me around. They provided me a lot of information about the location. I had to return to Texas, so I do not have any visitation to my father once he got in there yesterday. I haven't had a chance to see his room because I was just touring around the facility. I saw some of their dining area. They have a location where there were folks do physical therapy. They had a lot of staff overlooking at everybody. I went to the location where they had a physical therapy or exercise room. The buildings were not built in 2020. They've obviously have been there for a while, but they were very well-kept. The facilities were very clean, and the staff was very attentive. They have staff that spoke multiple languages. Someone spoke Spanish, which I can understand as well. They were very thorough in terms of making sure that I was vaccinated and checking my temperature before I was allowed to go in. They had a set of questionnaires to make sure that I didn't have any symptoms, and I thought that that was very thorough. They had a pretty big parking lot, but it was pretty much full around 11:00 or so. The parking lot was literally completely full, and I thought that was quite amazing."

"I've heard so many horror stories of neglect and substandard living conditions in an assisted living facility. The idea of placing my elderly relative in an institutional setting mortified us. Golden Life Manor has exceeded all of our expectations and completely changed our opinion of how an elderly should be treated and cared for, The staff is knowledgeable, caring and so accommodating. The home is truly a 'Home" with charming private rooms, clean and well appointed interior to beautiful manicured yard for outdoor relaxation all located in a safe and serene neighborhood. All the meals are prepared fresh daily, mindful of any dietary restrictions as well as nutritious and most importantly, delicious! I can attest to their high standards of care and professionalism they provide to its residents and their families. This Board and Care is no ordinary facility. This is a true Gem and I highly recommend Golden Life Manor! "

"My father will be moving here. It was very welcoming. The caregivers were very attentive to the people they were watching over. They had activities. They knew people by name. I felt like it was a family to them and not just people that they were just checking off. It very much felt like they really knew the person. It wasn't like they just left them in the room and didn't do anything. They're attentive, friendly, seem happy, and very interested in who they were speaking to at the time. It was clean and was acessible by wheelchair, walker or cane. I also like that the memory care also goes to the assisted living side as well. They kind of intermix, and I like that. They had a nice outside area that was shaded, but there were sunny areas that people can go to also, little patios and nice little entertainment areas. The dining area seemed nice, and the rooms were nice."

"I was impressed with Walnut Village. It's sheer perfection. I would've been very happy going there, but it just wasn't time for me to go into that kind of a facility. The person during the tour was charming, very knowledgeable, and very pleasant. He made it sound like it would be wonderful. The dining area was like going to a very fancy restaurant. It was really a nice place. They also have a little coffee shop. I saw one woman working out in the gym with a trainer. Everybody was so pleasant and so happy. It's a lovely place."

"The people there seemed old, but they were more active. There seemed to be more couples living there. In terms of rooms, there was more to choose from because the facility was really big. Regarding the staff, I thought everybody was busy and very competent from what we could tell. Everybody seemed to be caring. With regards to surroundings, it looked really clean, and there were lots of activities. What stands out to me was that there were more couples, they had their own cars, and there was more to choose from in terms of room and care needed. "
