ActivCare is more expensive, but it is a lot better than most other places. Everything is top-notch. Honestly, I could say that I see nothing wrong with the place at all. The staff is good, the food is good, and they really care about their patients -- I could see it. My mom shares a room with someone else, but it is nice and clean. It is just clean all around, and it's got a warm feeling because of the way it is all set up. You don't feel like you are in a facility; it is really nice. They have arts and crafts, and they take them for a walk or whoever wants to go to the park they have there. I told them my mom likes to crochet, so I let her take her crochet with her so she can do that. They have 4 patients at an activity table, and then one caregiver works with each table.

My mother is a resident of ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch. The place looks great and the layout is fine. The only issue is that I dont know where to put my mom that provides actual life care. The workers seem great as well as the manger, they seem capable of doing their job. Everything is on a single floor, they have a couple of outdoor areas, and there's a miniature golf in one section. The only issue with the community in my own opinion is that they haven't upgraded to a more personal locking system. So each of the patients has to wait to get into their own room to use the bathroom since there aren't any public bathrooms available. I've witnessed residents pissing in their wheelchairs because they waited for 30 minutes for somebody to open their door because only the nurses have the keys. It's ridiculous for the amount of money we're paying. I tried to sample the food, but they made me a hamburger instead. My mom claims the food was alright at first, but quickly turned to puke. However, my mom has dementia, so I'm still waiting to find out if that's true or not. There's activities all throughout the day, and there's always two activities to choose from instead of just having one thing to do all day.

The staff at ActivCare at Rolling Hills Ranch is very interactive with the patient. The rooms are comparable to every other place he has been. The rooms are kept nice and very clean. They have indoor activities to stimulate their minds. They give three meals a day. I have eaten there, and the chef is awesome.

They were very nice at Activcare. It's also for memory care. Dad is on hospice now. They call me all the time to tell me what's going on. The only thing I don't like about it is that they don't have a call light in any of the rooms. My dad never used the call light anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter. But it will make me feel comfortable if he could call somebody. The food was excellent and the dining room is nice. Everybody goes out into the dining room all day long.
