My dad moved into Chateau Senior Living - The Villa. I like the size of it. It's not like the normal care homes, which are very small. It is medium-sized. It has a nice layout and it is very clean. It's a gated community, so somebody has to come in and let you through the front gate. The staff is extremely friendly and caring. All meals are included. Yesterday, they had grilled cheese sandwiches, fresh watermelon, and something else I can't remember. But I think it's good. They don't do a lot of activities, and that would probably be one of the downsides. They have a common room with a television. I haven't seen any activities going on as of yet, but we're kind of new to it.

My mother has lived in the Villa for two months now. We've been very impressed by them. The administrator has been extremely helpful, on top of things, and very organized. The staff is very professional, caring, and friendly. They bring in somebody weekly to play music, have pet therapy, do art, and had a holiday party for residents and family members.

They do not give enough emotional care or take time with the elderly that live there.

Acadia was a smaller facility and the rooms were really small. They were a higher level of assisted living which meant they took a lot of Alzheimer's and dementia all the way to hospice. They had a lot of activities going on like gardening and Wii videogames.
