"The facility is bright and clean, and there are always helpful staff around. The individual apartment where my friend lives is small, but plenty of space for her. I really like that each apartment has it's own kitchen, so the residents can choose if they feel up to preparing a meal or would rather eat in the communal dining room. The facility also offers bus transportation to local shops and events, which makes the residents feel more freedom than if they had to come up with their own way of getting around. All of the people I have met there, residents and staff seem happy and comfortable. My friend who lives there likes it and the only negative I can think of is that they did not allow her to bring her cat with her, although this may have been a personal choice rather than a facility rule, I'm not sure. "My father-in-law is at Rock Creek Care Center. The staff seemed to be very helpful and polite. I think they are taking good care of him and for that type of facility I think they are doing a great job. They are also doing physical therapy with him. "

"Beautiful location and great faculty. I was overwhelmed with this feeling of comfort and calmness upon arrival. I was welcomed by some of the nicest staff I have ever seen and had the pleasure of knowing. They still call and say hi when I see them in town. "

"I visited Auburn Oaks Care Center and toured it for a friend. It was nice. It was not as plush as the others, but it's covered by the VA, making it so my friend can do respite care there without paying an out-of-pocket expense. I saw their dining area, and it was simple."

"Westview Healthcare Center was very good, and the one who should be commended the most for going above and beyond was the nurse named Robin. I have never seen a nurse work so hard and so dedicated. She was the one who got everything done for us. "

"My husband is in Care Meridian. It is recommended to me by the trauma ICU where my husband was. The staff is very fine. The room is the best. They are spacious, absolutely immaculate, and brand new. There is a full range of activities. I certainly will recommend them to others. "

"The rooms have great views to a peaceful surrounding sounds of birds Plenty of space- marble counter with sink Large bathroom with willing staff to assist during the most humiliating of times. My 89 year old had a 3 hour incident and Chris handled with her with dignity Staff are absolutely fun and always there although their communication system is now Being upgraded that is needed to know importance of needs when called. Ryan the interim director is working hard to make improvements .theresa the activities director has many tricks up her sleeve to get guests involved . The nurse practitioner on staff solved 2 problems of mine . Natalie was so kind to my 89 year old surrogate to me. I watched and listened to all interactions. The food was delicious but I owned a health food restaurant and it is far different than McDonald so if that is what you are looking for, they feed the guests quality food. I did not realize for the first few days that there’s 10 items that can be brought to you from 7-7 Egg salad the best ever and I served them in my store Soup the best when I found out about this option I had soup almost every day. The staff are so professional even though a guest is acting out. I they ere patient which is more than I would be . When giving showers they are thorough and keep you warm with what seems like 20 towels. Soap was better than I thought it would be . The staff greeted Helen my roomie with enthusiasm every time especially in the morning . Sherry is delightful and listens to eac guest with a smile ,hug and a song . I cannot think of an amenity missing Last the occupational therapists and physical therapist were better than private trainers. If your loved needs to gain strength and you need a couple weeks off from the arduous job of caretaking this would be the place To get your loved one the care they need and for you too. A beautiful piece of property the community would be remiss if they did not get involved thank you for your time You too "

"My daughter-in-law had brain surgery and she did go to Sutter Rehabilitation Institute in Roseville because that's the one her insurance would allow her to go into. Its location was close to home. The staff were skilled, good, and friendly. I was extremely disappointed with the food because the patient was overweight and they were feeding her potato chips and chocolate puddings at her request anytime during the day that she wanted it. "

"My grandfather was a resident at Oak Ridge Healthcare Center in Roseville, CA before he passed away. By the time he was a resident at Oak Ridge Healthcare Center, his health was very poor and I had never seen him look so weak. When I went to visit him, I was very relieved to see how well he was being taken care of. He was so frail that the female nurse was able to lift him and put him in his wheelchair. But she did so very gently. I also liked how she knew his name and seemed to be very friendly. The facility allowed us to put family pictures on the walls in hopes he could remember some of his past, which was increasingly difficult due to the fact that he had Alzheimer's. I really enjoyed visiting my grandfather, although it was heartbreaking to see him ill. The grounds of the facility are well-maintained and peaceful, and the staff are warm and friendly. "

"My father was in the hospital, and they recommended Roseville Point. Some staff members are good, and some are not good. The food started off good, then went downhill, but the presentation is not bad. It's pretty expensive, but it's a better place than others I've seen out there."

"My 94 year old friend came here after an ICU visit. His trauma exasperated what seems like early stage dementia/alzheimer's into a more pronounced case. The staff here have been very kind and polite to him in the face of not nice behavior. His room is well kept as are the therapy room and dining room. My only gripe is my interaction with the administrative side of things. I am relatively young and have not dealt with Medicare, numerous doctors, nor inpatient care and as a trustee being thrown into the situation there has not been much guidance from the staff. I know I don't even know what questions to ask, but I seem to get a bit of run around between admissions, social work, billing and medical staff. After two weeks, I feel I am getting a grasp of what is needed but I am not in front of the issue, just reacting. It just seems like our issues must be common, but there isn't a definitive plan in place, too much knee-jerk type behavior. "

"Mom has been to this facility for 12 days. I was really happy with this facility. It was great! She broke her hip and then had a surgery. She went there for a rehab. As soon as she left the hospital she went to a rehab. I very much like this facility. She's well taken care of. The staff are all very nice, very knowledgeable, very helpful, very kind. I would recommend this facility to others. "

"My Wife has been at FCC for 3+ years. The staff has always been wonderful. (Every now & then a staff member isn't. They don't last long.) The structure is old, but management is constantly ensuring proper maintenance & has been making major upgrades. Not only in visual appeal, but in patient safety (video system), and modernization of tools for the staff (computer w/ touch pads in the halls by patient rooms) . The food has always been appealing, smells & looks good (wouldn't mind eating there my self). Parking can be a challenge from time to time, almost always a space can be found, (only shutout once in 3 years). Activities are varied. Some times an entertainer (Elvis! who else !), movies, board games, etc, And at least once a year a trip (via wheelchair w/ volunteers pushing) to the local zoo! When ever there is a parade residence are encouraged to come out and watch. Bottom line... Told my kids if anything happens to me, please put me in FCC! "

"Gold Country Health Center has the best reputation in this area, but we felt it was too much of a hospital, institutionalized setting. The staff was very nice when we toured. I don't have any complaints about that, but we just didn't feel it was the right place for my mother-in-law. She would have been in a shared room and the showers were public, so she wouldn't have her own bathroom. There were a number of different options there, but for my mom-in-law with advanced Alzheimer's, we had very limited options because she needed 24-hour care. The place was clean, and the staff was nice. "

"My husband was at Western Slope in Placerville, and they were so wonderful. It wasn't fancy, but they were so kind, and were just nice. His hair wasn't always combed, and they were so busy, but they were just very sweet and kind to him. He fell a couple of times and they called me. The place needed remodeling, but it was clean, and he was happy while he was there. He seemed happy with the food too; he never complained about it. He was on a pureed diet at first because he was having trouble swallowing, and they were very conscientious about that. He had physical therapy while he was there, and they really worked with him. I didn't see any but I know they had activities going on too."

"Crystal Ridge is in a nice location, very convenient to the main shopping center in Grass Valley if you need to stop by and pick something up for your family member. The facility is clean and attractive. A large number of the residents are bed ridden or in wheelchairs, so it might not be the best choice for someone a little more able bodied. The food served there is all cooked on site and it was decent for institutional food. Most of the staff of Crystal Ridge is friendly and concerned. The physical therapy team did a great job with my mom, and they made the sessions interesting and enjoyable for her. My only complaint is that I sometimes had a hard time getting information about her care. Every department functions independently so you have to ask the right person the right question. For instance, when the social worker told me she was going to be released the next day, the head nurse didn't know anything about it. "

"My father went to Grass Valley and received very good care. They had good communication with us. Overall, it was clean, and the staff was very engaged with the clients. He started off in the general environment, but his Alzheimer's got worse and had to go into a locked down unit inside where they had more attention and nursing staff. What was nice was that when I went to visit, we could go out on the patio and talk, but I don't recall activities. "
