"I toured Charter Senior Living of Woodbridge. It was a good experience. However, at that time, they didn't have enough staff. They were in the process of redoing the whole place, so there were a few little glitches about the staff. The food was good though. The rooms were really nice and big. The upkeep of the place was OK."

"Long Hill Home is a beautiful, clean and warm place to call home. Management and members of staff are very friendly and professional, they make your visit very pleasant and of course they ask you to stay to enjoy a meal with them! They’re very hospitable. The rooms are all en-suite, clean and modern bathrooms with walk in showers. The environment and the view outside is so calming and serene! It is a beautiful home indeed!"

"The food here is terrific. I envied my Dad for eating so good! Beautiful, bucolic setting, the home is all set up for wheelchair, etc., access. The house manager is onsite all the time, and her two cats bring a lot of life to the home. Many activities are offered."

"I'm living in Spring Meadows Trumbull and I love it here. I'm doing workouts and I'm into arts and crafts. I also play games, and I'm doing workouts with Keith, who is one of the physical therapy guys. They offer three meals a day and the food is very good. The staff is very nice and helpful."

"I've been in Monarch Southbury before to visit people, and I thought it was a very nice place, but it was a little older. The people were very nice. They gave me a good tour. They gave me some cookies that the chef made. The memory area is separated from the rest of the facility, and they were doing wheelchair aerobics, moving their arms up and down, and all that kind of stuff. The room themselves were kind of depressing-looking and weren't very big."

"It is lovely. The apartments were nicer than any other place we had seen. The layout was very good. The bathrooms were very large with a lot of grab bars and safety features. Architecturally, this was the best place we saw. There are a lot of big windows, the ceilings are high, the hallways are wide and that makes a huge difference more than other things that people might be looking for. All the residents we talked to had wonderful things to say about this facility spontaneously which I thought was pretty interesting. Everybody looked pretty happy. The staff who helped us with the tour were excellent. They were well-informed, very understanding, and very interested in feedback and preferences. The dining area and the food were excellent. "

"brand new and spacious rooms. staff is always friendly and happy to talk to. they know their residents and are welcoming. residents are able to enjoy interactive activities with other residents that are engaging and great for socialization. i recommend this community for anyone's loved one who needs assistance in their every day life. "Old Glory Days was wonderful. It was beautiful. It was very clean. I liked it because it was open. I didn't like it because there were a lot of stairs. They were very expensive, too. The staff was very down-to-earth and neat. It's a converted old house. I wouldn't recommend it unless you lived in town, and if you had a lot of money and you were by yourself. I don't think it was good for a couple. It was very well put together. It was nicely painted inside."

"Maplewood was excellent. They had lots of different activities. A bus was just getting back; they’ve gone out to lunch, and they had someone coming in with a therapy dog. They had a regular children’s program so the older people get exposed to see cute kids singing. I was impressed with the staff; they were interacting with the residents, and everybody seemed to know the residents’ names. The location was good, and it was easy to find parking. It feels personal, small, and like a family. I saw them doing some brain games. "

"It was actually beautiful. I was only able to speak to the manager, but the people that were living there seemed happy. Everyone was waiting for dinner when I arrived there to take the tour. The unit that I saw would have been a joint apartment, but the only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't 2 separate bedrooms. So whoever moves in first would pick his bedroom and the second person would have to pick what would have been the living room. So when you open the door you're in that person's room, and that's the only thing I didn't care for. They have an exercise room, they have their own little post office there, they're own little library, it had everything. When I got there, they had just finished happy hour and most of them are getting ready to eat dinner. The person who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and very friendly."

My father’s stay was truly a blessing and never for a moment did we have to think twice about his care during his time being at this amazing memory care facility. "

The physical therapist were very considerate and aware of patient needs and concerns. I walked out of here with renewed confidence in my ability to walk well again. "

"All American Assisted Living at Coram is the only one we visited. It was a very nice and very clean facility. The staff has been very friendly and very helpful in answering questions. It looks like a nice place for my dad to go. It seems like they have a variety of things for them to do."
