The last month of my husband's life was spent in the care of Marilou and her staff at Searles Care Home. He had suffered during the Covid era for over ten months with substandard care in a variety of facilities, but at Searles, he received personalized 24-hour attention to his every need. Marilou is attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate as well as a certified nurse. Any decisions, large or small, that had to be considered for him were discussed with me, so I always knew his status. The rooms are immaculate, the food homemade and delicious. In fact, she seemed to take care of me as I supported my husband through his last days, feeding me and allowing visitation at any time of day or night according to his needs. I am so pleased with Marilou and her staff that I have told my family that if the time ever comes for me to need care, just to call Marilou.

Searles Care Home was like a big house that was converted into a care home. It only has maybe 5 to 7 people at a time. Our experience with them is very good. I've been there a few times and we just actually put my wife's father in there. They're very nice, very attentive, and there's always somebody there if you need them. They almost always have access to some kind of care. My father-in-law is getting hospice service while he's staying there. It's a good place for end-of-life people. It's clean and every room has a dresser and T.V. A woman named Marilou runs it and she's super nice and helpful. It's a really beautiful house. It's a large living space with a nice kitchen. I have eaten the food there and it's very good. I also have a friend whose mother lived her last two years there and I have positive information from that experience, too.

My mother has moved into Searles Care Home. It's excellent care. It's a 24-hour care facility. That's such an incredible place. They only have 10 people, and there are 6 or 7 caregivers. It is run by a Filipino woman, who is very compassionate and very involved. She is a sole proprietary, but she basically is hands-on to every patient. There is no bureaucracy. The room is immaculate. I haven't been around long enough to get involved in their activities. I just think it's exceptionally well-run hacienda style. Beautiful landscape. Very compassionate caregivers. Very well run.
