I love this place. I have been a resident since February and wouldn't live anywhere else. As for switching doctors, you do not have to use the facility doctors, I use my own. It is just an option that they provide for their residents. They also have physical therapist that come in and any other type of doctors you might need. Xrays are done on the premises too. The food is great, the staff are friendly and helpful and the residents all get along like family.

Very caring staff. A community of individual caring that takes time to truly listen to the residents. Continually striving to meet their needs. A place you can go home and know your loved one is in good hands.

The staff at Golden Years had no clue that we were coming because she said they don't accept visitors on Saturday, but she still showed us around. I didn't like the place. It had all kinds of behaviors in there and that's not what I'm looking for, for my mom. The facility was OK, but it needed updating. It was clean, but it didn't smell good. The staff who toured us was excellent, and she even recommended a different place if we didn't like Golden Years. They had a nice TV room with recliners. It's an older building. There's plenty of parking that's close to the building, but it felt more like an institution, and I didn't feel she would be safe there.

Golden Years was OK. The rooms are small, but the facility itself was great, and there's no smell. It's just an older facility, so it wasn't that attractive. The residents were just sitting down watching TV. They have a 24-hour pharmacy and a dining room.

Golden Years was nice. Overall, my mother seemed interested in that place, but she had to switch from her doctor to their doctor, which she didnt want to do. I saw some residents sitting in the dining area, but they werent doing anything. They had private rooms and shared rooms.
