I toured The Devonshire. It seems like a nice place. The bedroom size was a little bit small for me. They showed me a one-bedroom, and I preferred to have two. The ones that I met, the lady in the beauty salon, and the receptionist were friendly, and the resident was friendly as well. I saw the physical therapy area, and then I saw the party room.

My parents are moving in. We loved them so much, that we just signed the contract. You can tell that they care about their residents very much. They know every single one of them by name, by heart. It just blew my mind. They treated everybody with respect, calling them by their last name, Mr. so and so. It was awesome. The amenities were the other big seller for us. They have an activity schedule that's ever-changing and very diverse, and it is very accommodating. The residents seemed very excited about the activities. They provide two meals a day. We met a lot of staff. We only saw a few rooms though. They were being renovated, so we hadn't seen the finished product yet. It was really good even though it was in a renovation state. They have different activities as far as hobbies from puzzles to crafts to board games and card games. They had them throughout the week at different times. They had trips to museums, restaurants, and movies, and they had regular scheduling for doctors' appointments every week. They only required 72-hour notice for scheduling. They have a chapel, a salon, a library, and a grotto in the backyard for gardening. It was a really beautiful garden for at least walking and sitting.

I was very impressed. I liked the idea that they had someone there 24/7 instead of just during the week. The person who toured me around was excellent, very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. He provided lunch and that was good. My cousin said she enjoyed it. They had a recreation room, and a patio, and things for them to do.

It has very friendly people. The employees, as well as the people living there, were all very nice. And my mother-in-law, when she heard the food that they were having for dinner, she had a fit, because she had not had liver and onions in 10 years. So the food excited her. If there's anything that you wanted to do, they would get a group together and do that particular thing. They had a gym and they had a room where they did some arts and stuff. I think I had two meals a day there, which was fine. They had people coming and doing music and stuff like that for entertainment. The only thing is that they don't have sufficient parking.

I would give them a 5 because of the amenities, as far as the different recreational programs and the services like housekeeping. The staff was very knowledgeable and very pleasant to speak to. The staff showed me a one-bedroom. My sister has a walker, and she has difficulty standing up on her own. The bedroom was geared towards the handicapped person. It was very accessible. They give classes and exercise in the morning. They have a full recreational calendar. They have a library. They go on bus trips and transportation if you want to go shopping. The area was nice, clean and neat in the morning. It looks like a very new community.

The place is great. Before I even got there, the lady on the phone, her customer service skills were so good, I was done. I didn't have to come up there. When I went there, I was blown away. It felt just like at home, you weren't just another resident, you felt like part of things. I was waiting for my wife to get approved to go, and they helped us all along the way in, and I just can't get over that. The lady we just talked to answered any questions we had, and the layout was so great. It felt like home as soon as I walked through the door. We saw a one-bedroom apartment. Everything, like the bedroom, the kitchen was good, the bathroom, everything was great, and it had a nice, big closet. They were playing bingo, and they got other stuff there. They've got a whole activity board, they've got a calendar, they go on trips, they go shopping, there's just so much going on there. They made you feel like family. The food was excellent; good chef.

Everything is outstanding, from viewing and going to the facility, I love it and all the perks I will get. I'm happy. They help assist those people who need help, the place is clean, and they have courteous people. It's like being at home. They have laundry, a weight room, and meals are provided at different times. The dining room is lovely too. The room I am going to stay in is well lit and nice. Everything is very clean and outstanding.

It was my first choice. I had no problem as far as the facility and the people. It was bright and clean and the people there were very welcoming. I saw the people eating, and they seemed to be enjoying it. The rooms were nice and clean, but they didn't have much room for extra stuff. They had the facilities for you to wash your own clothes. They had extra activities and physical therapy. They had the studio, the alcove, and the one-bedroom. The young lady who took me around was excellent. The facility was very nice, light, bright and airy, and clean. There's just not much room for clothing and other stuff.

It was very nice and there weren't any shortcomings. The person who gave us the tour was very helpful and had all the answers to our questions. The dining area looked good and reminded us of a nice sit-down restaurant. We saw the common areas and the gathering spaces, which looked very comfortable and bright.

The apartments were roomy, nice, and convenient. The staff was very nice. They had a nice dining room, and the residents were very friendly. They had activities, but not as many as the others. They had a hair salon, washers and dryers on each floor, and excellent security.
