I visited The Hamilton Assisted Living in Yorktown for my friend. They have good programs, good care, and oversight of the people. I thought what I saw was good. The rooms looked more than adequate. It was a pleasant experience, and it seemed to be a very friendly facility. There seems to be some camaraderie among the staff and the patients or the people there, too. They have a library and some gym equipment for building strength or returning to strength. They have salons, so they can get their hair done, too. They had the kinds of facilities that would be very useful for someone in my friend's situation. They provide three meals a day, but I didn't try their food or anything. They did say that most people there like it.

I chose The Hamilton at The York because I liked what I saw. They're taking good care of me. The staff is great and nice, and whatever I need, they take care of it. It's good food. They're not doing a whole lot right now because of COVID, but I probably wouldn't participate in many activities. I'm not interested in that stuff. The place is nice, clean, and new. It's close to where I wanted to be. I want to stay close to Newport News because that's where my friends are.

The Hamilton at The York was very nice, and it will definitely be on our short list. I was very impressed with the facility. They were very friendly and very helpful, and the facility was all well laid out. They have 24/7 nurse health onsite available, three meals a day for the residents, and an activity room. For an assisted living facility, I thought they were well-equipped, not only to take care of the residents, but offer them activities to keep them active as well.

I really like The Hamilton at The York. They have very nice rooms. I like the size of the rooms. I also like the fact that they have the availability because it is still new. We are going back to see the place, and I'm taking my parents with me. The staff is very friendly and very nice. I saw the residents doing some exercise in their chairs and that's all about what I saw. There's not very many people there.
