The View Alexandria is a beautiful facility, inside and out. It's newly renovated. The rooms and everything were stripped out and put back together. It's got a new floor, new paint, and new showers. Everything looked like it'd be just perfect for an elderly person. Also, their menu was very impressive. I did not eat there, but it was like a restaurant menu. It wasn't just a couple of little things. It had very nice food and the dining room was beautiful. They have a nice little library and they get the people engaged. A lot of the people I talked to were residents who would volunteer to do this or that, and I hope they can get my dad to volunteer to do stuff. They have a doctor who comes on site and since I can't run over there and drive Dad to different appointments and stuff, it's nice that everything's there. The person that did the tour was excellent. She knew her stuff. The room I picked for Dad has a new floor. It's freshly painted with beautifully tiled showers and a nice chair built into the shower. Everything is new there. They guarantee every week there'll be at least 51 different activities available to people in assisted living and that would be pretty good. The grounds were beautifully maintained, too, as well as the common areas. They were spacious and nicely furnished.

We're looking at The View Alexandria for my mother. You pay an initial deposit, which is much more reasonable, and then it goes month to month, and their rates are just as competitive as others. It is larger, and it has more ground around it. It has more options for residents to be outside like to do classes or music concerts outside. They also provide support for members to go to a local grocery store like the Giant or Target. Everything is provided when you have a monthly plan, but this gives the residents a little bit more freedom to get out and do things. They are redoing the rooms. They took over a property that just opened in August 2022, and they're doing a great job. I have seen the newer renovated apartments. The menu and the food that I saw looked great. It was nutritious and well-balanced. It wasn't just a hamburger and fries or something like that. And then if you didn't like what was for lunch, there were other options like an egg omelet or something simple. The person who assisted me was great. In terms of staff, the average longevity was quite long, so they have low turnover. The person who I went on a tour with has been in that industry for 20 years, so she has been instituting new changes. She was great. She knew statistics about the place and how long an average day was. She was much more knowledgeable than the director, who is new at the other place.

I was very impressed with The View Alexandria, but it's a little bit out of our price range. It's a very nice facility. I was there between breakfast and lunch, so I didn't see a lot of people doing different activities. I saw some people watching a movie. I saw a studio and a one-bedroom. I thought they would work, and it's not large. They showed me some common areas where the residents gather. Everything was spotless.

It was excellent. The people were friendly. They had classes, two different types of dining rooms, a pool, and a gym. The residents seemed happy. The apartments were spacious and came in all different sizes.

My mother has signed a contract, and my parents are moving in next month. It’s convenient to where they previously lived. They offer the 3-meals a day. The rooms are good size. They have activities that my parents are interested in. They have transportation to the places they need to go.

We visited and it was great and seemed like the perfect place for a senior. The room was nice and clean. There was a nice salon and good food in the dining area.

I have visited them In Northern Virginia in the past. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The rooms were nice and very clean. They have their own kitchenette and bathrooms, which is good. They also had the typical social activities different outings. They had movie nights too. There were also entertainment and live music. They also take the residents out to the barber shop. It was a fair community.
