Cogir of Old Town, Alexandria was very nice. It's a little bit older and a little bit smaller than the other place, but they have the option of both my parents being in the same unit, so that was nice. The food was delicious. We had lunch there. We had nice conversations with people. All of our contact people have been very helpful. One guy resident was very friendly and nice. A lady came and talked to us at lunch just to say hi. It had a nice homey feel to it. They had a unit in the memory care that would have accommodated both of them, so we're considering. They have lots of nice common spaces. It's not a huge high-rise. It's only to the fourth floor, and there was a really nice patio, a big outdoor area on the fourth floor, on the roof basically. The staff was excellent. I was impressed with the chef. The rooms had a little bit less square footage. Everything was very clean and well-kept .

I like Cogir of Old Town, Alexandria. They have the same types of amenities. I was looking for what would be a good fit for my brother. He is a veteran, and he would want to talk to other men and that kind of thing, and it was good. It was very nice. Their apartments have microwaves and mini fridges. They have a good amount of storage. They have call buttons. They have a theater area and sitting areas on each floor. People could gather on the floor with the TV there. There are snacks available all day. They have free meals and restaurant-style dining. There is a patio, too, and everybody has been very nice.

We visited Cogir of Old Town, Alexandria, and toured for assisted living. The tour was fine, and it was a nice building. The lady was very nice and told us everything that we needed to know. It was right there on the corner, and once we got inside, it was very nice. It had a very nice appearance and interior, and it was well laid out. They showed us the layout and what they do there. I kinda like it a little bit because, in their system, they had a gentleman who was the coordinator of the activities. He showed us all the games, and that's one of the things that I like about it. They played checkers, and they had puzzles and stuff like that, so there were a lot of things to do. They had everything that you needed, like a salon, where you could do your nails and hair. They had a nice place where you could walk. They also showed us the outside patio, and it was very nice. The person who gave us the tour was at the door when we came in, and asked us if we wanted refreshments or if there was anything we wanted before she started her tour. After the tour was over, she asked if there were any questions that we needed her to answer, and she answered them. We didn't eat, but they showed us the dining area, which is very clean and very well-kept.
