We chose Sunrise at Bluemont Park for my brother. The staff was really nice during our visit, very friendly, and helpful. We saw a room and it was very nice. I haven't tried the food, but we've talked to him a lot since he's been there, and he said that the food is very good. He's in a studio apartment in the assisted living. He can get to the dining room for meals. They have a lot of activities, although he hasn't done them yet. He's currently just doing PT and OT.

I liked Sunrise at Bluemont Park. They had more outdoor areas than the others, but I didn't feel that my parents are going to be using that because they were both incapable of moving themselves around. The layout was nice, the facility was nice, and the people were nice. They have separate buildings and it's more of like garden style apartment layout rather than just one single building that's five or six stories high. There's only a bunch of two-story or three-story little buildings spread out. They seemed to have a nice food selection. The staff was were very helpful, and they followed up with me. They were great. It's got access to the parks and trails. For somebody that's in an assisted living situation that can move around by themselves, it would be wonderful.

The tour I had of Sunrise at Bluemont Park was very good. The staff was very informative and polite. They showed me the kitchen and the dining room area, and it's clean and nice. The rooms were nice, especially the 2-bedroom apartment. It was nice, clean, and accommodating. They didn't have a lot of activities going on while I was there, but they said they always had something happening. I may have been too early for the activities when I got there. They had music entertainment and worship services on Sundays. They had a piano in every building. They have a room for visitors, a library, and a separate dining room for family parties. They needed to improve their parking, and they didn't talk about transportation for doctor's appointments.

I liked Sunrise at Bluemont Park. It was impressive. It felt like an apartment building and was way better than I thought it was going to be. It was clean and everybody seemed happy. It was overall a good vibe. I saw a studio and it was nice. They made good use of the space available. There's enough room for a small table and a comfortable chair. The woman that gave the tour was nice and knowledgeable. She had lots of great information. I left there feeling confident that my father-in-law would be happy there.

The tour at Sunrise at Bluemont Park was very good. The physical appearance was very nice. The people are friendly. The residents like it there very much. The surrounding environment is very nice, and it's next to the park. The staff was very informative. The rooms were not too small.

Sunrise at Bluemont Park was clean and friendly. I liked that residents were sitting in the open area and relaxing. The staff who assisted me was friendly and knowledgeable. We went into a one-bedroom, but I was interested in a studio, which they didn't have available at the time to look at. The room seemed very nice. It seemed like a very nice community. What I particularly like was that several residents were socializing in the foyer. They were happy.

I'm very happy with the care that my father is getting at Sunrise at Bluemont Park. They're very welcoming when we approached them. The building he's in is fairly small, and it has 50 people in it, so they have a lot of individualized care. He says the food is pretty good, and his appetite has come back really well. They have a nurse on-staff and a 24-hour nurse if there are any issues on the premises. They're very attentive, and they all come in several times a day to check on him. They give him his medications twice a day, they'll do laundry, and they'll bring meals to him if he's not feeling up to going to the dining room. He had a little medical condition, and the nurse has been very attentive and will text or call me. We have an open dialogue with the chief nurse on-staff. I'm really happy with it. They have three buildings and each have a different address with 50 residents each. They also have a memory care unit if he should need that on the premises. It's fairly expensive and it's a little bit older, but they have good maintenance on-staff. They have a walking club, happy hour, movie nights, trivia, games, Bingo, guest speaker, and discussion group.

My father was at Sunrise At Bluemont Park. It was awesome. The food was awesome. They had everything, like dogs that came in and did tricks, people singing and playing the guitar, bowling, and somebody read to them and played games. The rooms were nice. He was there for almost three months.

Sunrise at Bluemont Park was a very nice and well-kept community. It was large and there seemed to be a good mix of people who were independent as well as those who needed more care. It was nice to have some liveliness going on. However, it was significantly pricier than the other location I saw.

Sunrise at Bluemont Park is a very caring place. They provide assistance with daily living and activities, like outings. My relative loves the food. He says that the caregivers are very nice. They also help him with his medications. He has a one-bedroom full apartment which is small but very functional; it's like being at home, just a smaller version. The day-to-day staff, the ones who are closest to him, are great. They take very good care of him. The place is good but they need another elevator.

This facility immediately smelled of cigarette smoke when entering. Staff was smoking on outside porch. The staff has med techs (not nurses) pass medications and rude care managers that rush the residents daily. The elevators are so slow and crowded at meal times that they stuff residents in which is unsafe. Bathrooms are not handicap accessible and unable to fit a wheelchair or walker.

The process for getting my mother into Sunrise after I toured was made easy thanks to all the hard work from the staff. We knew this was the right place for her. I was constantly updated on what was needed and the status of things by the sales associate Denitte. She helped make sure everything was good to go to get my mother there on the anticipated move in date which was very relieving. The sales team were all informative and the nurses were very nice. The room was ready to go the day of move in and we were able to set it up nicely to my mothers taste. So far she is very happy and she enjoys the community cat Blossom. It seems there are tons of activities to engage in and the staff really encourage the residents to participate which is nice to see. It's been a great transition and all my worries about how hard it would be have gone away! Thank you all.

My mother is at Sunrise At Bluemont Park. On the campus, there are three different buildings, and there are independent living and assisted living. My mother is in the building that’s only assisted living, and there’s memory unit on the third floor. The facility is very nice. My mother is getting very good care there. They have PT and OT there. They have a lot of activities. They have trips all the time to different places, many of which are at no extra cost. Every afternoon around 2, they have some activity, and they always serve snacks. The residents are kept busy doing things. They don’t like them to sit in their rooms, but if they want to sit in their rooms, they can.

Sunrise is beautiful, and my parents have a nice apartment there. They have different kinds of therapy, they have outdoor activities, and my dad usually participates in them. Two and a half weeks after my parents moved in, they wanted to increase the price, and it did not appeal to me.

Called into this Sunrise to schedule a tour. When receptionist transferred my call to Ms. Wendy, she right away told me this isn't a good week for her. Didn't take down my name or number, asked that I call back next week said thank you. At this point I was speechless, waiting for the joke to end but instead the call ended. She hung up. I'm not one to rely on other people's reviews or even leave one myself. But after touring 5 other communities, I began to form a certain level of standard set by these other communities. Unfortunately Bluemont Park didn't live up to this standard or didn't have the chance because of their rude sales rep.

The staff of Sunrise At Bluemont Park was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions. I thought the community was very interesting. The residents have a walkway all the way around the outside of the building. There is a special walkway with a railing that they could hold onto so that they could go outdoors. I thought the rooms were large enough.

Sunrise at Bluemont was OK. My father was the one who went in there. The rooms were very nice. The dining room was wonderful. The food was adequate. He was in there for three weeks of respite care. They had told us that he would have kitchen glasses, silverware, and dishes, but he only had plates and nothing else. His room was supposed to be cleaned once a week and his laundry done, but that did not happen.

I recently called the Sunrise at Bulemont Park, inquiring for my mother. After front desk forward me to the sales department everything went down hill The sales person was not helpful, she was rude and trying to rush me off the phone. I did not expect that from Sunrise. I really wanted my mother to be in good care and be around caring people who will meet her expectations. But if i cant not get even a sales person to help me over the phone because she has to go to lunch, I don't think I can trust the rest of the staff. Please avoid this place. Also to make things worse, the sales associated said she will call me back after lunch but she still has not it has been since Thursday (3/24).

We were impressed with Sunrise. The staff was exceptionally friendly and nice, and able to accommodate my mother’s needs. The location was good, the cost was reasonable, and it was clean. The apartments were larger than most of the other ones we’ve seen.

DO NOT let your family members take ANY jewelry, most of my mother's rings, earrings were stolen. Management always tried to say she lost it, although never before. She was there several years, horrible experience for my mother.

My mom will be moving to Sunrise at Bluemont Park. I am impressed that it is the perfect size. It is not too big, but not too small. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and it makes her feel at home. She picked the studio apartment. It looks small, but suits her needs, and it has nice windows. The dining area seems nice. I didn't try the food, but people seem to like it very much.

My mom was in Sunrise at Bluemont Park for about 7 weeks. The staff was very nice, and they were probably the ones I liked the best. It was very clean. I did not really have any complaints about it except the visitor parking was really bad. The food was good, and she liked it.

On first and second visits this was the place for Dad!! The apartments were nice and the staff seemed so friendly and helpful. They arranged for an evaluation of my father, and we were surprised that Sunrise felt he was eligible for independent living, since he had been diagnosed with dementia and had trouble managing in his own home. This is part of their sales pitch. They just want your money. Move in costs were $2000, in addition to the expenses associated with the physical move. Within the first month our costs increased almost 25% in added fees. Not what we had planned for. At one point they asked us to move Dad out until 24 hour assistance could be found. This was in addition to the fees we were already paying. Still they insisted that he did not belong in the dementia building. After moving Dad into a better living situation, clearing up the last billing has been a nightmare. They have charges for physical therapy, administering meds and other admin fees for days after he moved. The billing person seems incapable of making a decision. Finally sorted out, I write this so that other families do not have too live through the same situation.

My mother was at this Sunrise...many of the care managers are excellent but the administration is horrible..they are unresponsive, rude and incompetent . I would be very careful leaving a loved one at th facility . There is huge staff turnover at all levels...which the administrators use as an excuse as to why they are not responsible for things that have happened in the past....stay away!

I like Sunrise. I like the fact that it was clean. It looked like the staff was engaged with the residents. I think they need to have a clear display of activities and schedule for the day. They probably have a lot going on, but it wasn't clearly listed.

Mom was at Sunrise at Bluemont. We had a little bit of a weird experience, meaning that it seemed OK, but I just had a suspicion that some of the nurse techs were not very gentle with my mom. I think they might have been a little too rough with her, and they might have grabbed her hands too tightly. She fell a lot there, and she had a lot of bruising on her arms. The food was OK, not the greatest, and seemed a little bit cafeteria-like. It also was expensive, too.

Sunrise is too big in a sense and several buildings which really isn't very convenient for old people. That part is not so good. They have what they call memory care which is for persons who have something similar to Alzheimer's. They were very nice, they were very friendly but, of course, they would be. They're all sales people. They have rooms. They have cleaning. They have food services available. They have what they call an exercise facility but that's a bit of a joke because for people who are totally and completely physically capable, they're fine but with people with a lot of physical limitations, the patient doesn't even bother with the gym. Neither of my parents is capable of getting on any of that equipment so that, in itself, is a little bit of a joke.

I chose to visit Sunrise at Bluemont Park because it was in Arlington and I would like to live in Arlington. It was near my doctor. I liked the apartments pretty well. They had been updated and had a nice kitchen. They had a washer and a dryer in every apartment and the bathroom was updated. They didn't have much closet space. They had a nice dining room. They only serve one meal a day and the price was over my budget. The one-bedroom was $4,003 a month. But I liked it because it actually was in a park and they had a lot of walking trails. They had porches all along so people can sit outside. The people were nice. They seemed to know their business.
