The one that we decided to go with was North Texas Personal Care Home. I toured this place for my friend, but he passed away before I could move him in. The place was clean, had a homey atmosphere, and smelled good, like a home. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and went over the schedule of what they do each day to their patients, which is a lot of personal touch. Each patient has a book and a lockbox with their medicines, which I liked a lot because it seemed like they were very organized. The other thing that I liked a lot about them is that they had entertainment scheduled, like people who play music for them, storytelling, or dancing so that the patients can watch. There are many things that add up to feel like home. The common area was very nice. They have the food for their patients. There are five patients, plus two staff members. The menu items were healthy in my opinion.
