I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I wanted to be the good son and take care of my parents (Parkinson, dementia). Meeting their health care demands soon exceeded my capabilities. I needed to find professionals who would give the same attention and concern to my father that I would. Alma Residence was my choice, and I am writing give you every confidence in choosing Alma for your family. Among many offerings, below are highlights of what Alma House (run by Carla and her husband Cesar) provide: 1. A family environment - direct communication, direct phone calls at any hour, immediate and open discussion of needs and concerns 2. Consistent, professional, loving staff who have worked at Alma for years. Having a small operation like Alma House allows staff and residents to get to know each other like family. From this closeness naturally comes genuine concern, attention and love for the residents. 3. Carla, the owner, is a health care professional who personally attends to each resident's needs and liasons with family, hospitals, hospice and doctors to ensure that the family's needs are being met. My mother was the first client the facility took on. Alma Residential care center was excellent what we were looking for. The facility was clean, roomy and had great up-grades. The staff is attention to detail oriented and kept us informed on all changes going on with my mother. They were always helpful in guiding us through working with the medical system.

Carla is an amazing hands-on nurse. Her staff is gentle and caring with my 97-year-old father. He is happier in his new home than he was with one-on-one care in his previous home. His room is clean and the food is excellent.

All residents will feel welcome and their family can take comfort in knowing that we are committed to exceeding their expectations. Our staff provides round-the-clock services throughout the entire year. All caregivers are carefully selected for their professional experience caring for the elderly. Some of the services that our staff provides include but are not limited to: medication assistance, home-cooked meals, full laundry service, mobility, bathing, hygiene and daily housekeeping.

In addition to these services, we provide a variety of activities for residents to enjoy. Activities are specially selected to stimulate social skills by providing opportunities for both passive and active participation.
