"My husband moved to Brookdale Richland Hills. The people are amazing. It's a small family community, and they communicate extremely well. The place is clean. When he walks by somebody's dorm, they call him by name. It's just amazing. He is a social person who likes activities, so he's involved in them. They play bingo."

"We like Brookdale Richland Hills a lot. What I liked best was how well-kept it was. The interior was updated, so it was nice as far as that goes. The lady staff who helped us was very nice. She was great. She was informative. But when we tried to get back in touch with her afterward, we never could get in touch with her. With regards to cleanliness and structure, it's very good and very well constructed. The atmosphere of it seemed active and friendly. It seemed good."

"My parents are residents of Morada Meadow Lakes, and I liked everything about it. They get two meals daily, six days a week, and one on Sundays. It's a lively facility. They do exercises. They have plans for them to do something every day, and they take them to the stores. The staff is good. They come and clean the apartment, wash some of the linens, and if my parents can't make it down for lunch they take it to their room. They play bingo. They have movie and poker nights. They've got puzzles, pool tables, and an exercise room."

"My father is at Brookdale Watauga. It's an assisted living that is a Type B where they kind of help them get a little more. So they help him with showering, getting dressed, the occupational health part of it. They give him his medications. It just depends on what your needs are, what they will do, and what is charged. They've been nice, really helpful. They let me know things that are going on with him, which I appreciate. And if they have any questions, they don't hesitate to ask. So I'm really happy. It's clean. If he does not want to eat in the dining room, they will bring him something to eat. They worry about him when he doesn't eat. It's a super nice facility. It's a smaller facility. They keep it clean, keep it updated. They have exercises every day at 10:00, and I did notice that they have a little beauty salon there on-premises. If the ladies want to get their hair done, or if he wants to get a haircut, he can. I would recommend it. The dining area is very nice, they have their own specific places that they sit, and some of the food looks pretty good. He didn't want to exercise, but they did bingo, they had a common room where they could watch TV, he was just not interested in all that. They have crafts. Val the coordinator, she's the first one you talked to, she's the one that talks to the families when they're thinking about putting their family member into assisted living. She was just so nice and full of information. The nurses were all so nice and they just told you everything upfront, which I appreciate. So I was impressed very much with Val and the nurses like Andrea and Lindsey, they were just very helpful. A big shout out to them, because they're very nice and very welcoming."

"The staff here are very helpful and informative. They really get to know your loved one. The place is always clean, never smells bad. My husband has been there for 6 months and I am very pleased with all they do for him."

"My mom will move into Oak Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center. The front Foyer is beautiful, and they're super, super nice in there. When you first drive up to them there's a big water fountain, it's very pretty, and when you walk in the front door, it's very inviting, and just beautiful furniture. The staff is very friendly, very knowledgeable, very kind, and very caring. It was the closest to where we live."

"Lived in a patio home for 4 years and enjoyed every minute of it. The home was spacious and comfortable. Full kitchen, laundry room, separate dining room. Large 2 bed 2 bath with HUGE CLOSETS, large living room, and a lovely front porch with a small front yard. Large enough for my flower pots. yard art, and Christmas decorations. The staff run by Nancy is Excellent as is Jenelle the concierge, Hector the chef, every staff member was dedicated, kind and knowledgeable.. they organized and ran so o o many fun programs everyday. Thank you all for your dedication in helping Senior live their better lives."

"This is a great place. Everyone is very friendly. I say it starts with management who encourage and are so welcoming. From my first meeting with Peggy and then Megan meeting with us to show my Dad around, we were sold. All of the staff do a great job. My Dad felt like it was his new home. Unfortunately, due to health issues, he had to move to a different community. He says his goal is to get strong enough to return to Eden Estates."

"We chose Mustang Creek Estates - Keller for my mother. We're on a waitlist right now. What I like the best is the family environment. What I like least is the size of the rooms. The rooms are kind of small. The staff members are very friendly, informative, and easy to work with. The place was clean, and it smelled good. When I stepped in, there was this family atmosphere. The other residents were out and about and conversant. The staff members interacted with the residents in a friendly manner."

"My father is in Avalon Memory Care - Keller. It's a memory care facility. It was a lot smaller, which provided a sense of home. There was a small number of residents there who had similar high-functioning cognitive deficits as he did, so it would be a better fit for him to be among others whom he could interact with and have that sense of community there. It's near to family. It's in an area that's easily accessible to things. He has a large room. It's a semi-private room, so he has another individual in the room as well, but it's very nice, modern, updated, and had hardwood floors and a huge shower in the bathroom. I liked that there wasn't a separate area where they had to go to shower. The bathroom is set up well. It had a large closet and there was plenty of room. The roommate has a queen-size bed, and my dad has a full- sized bed and then they both still have spaces for chairs and tables. It's a large room. You have to bring your furniture, the bed and dresser, and pictures for the wall and personalize it. We were able to put anything we wanted in there. I haven't participated in any of the meals there yet, but from what my dad has said, it's really good. They have three meals a day and snacks and they all sit together at the dining room table, which is very nice. Everyone eats their meals together three times a day. You're never eating in your room or anything like you would at a nursing facility. It's almost like a home. They had a really large living area. There's a double-sided fireplace that has two seating areas on each side and a large dining area with four or five different sections of tables. The kitchen is there with like a long bartop counter. It's more of like a home-type feel than at a restaurant. They have movie nights. They bring in musical entertainers who come in to sing. They have local churches that come in. There's a Catholic church that comes in and does communion there once a week. They have craft activities. There's a group of gentlemen there that likes to play cards, so they play cards together. It's just a big open concept, but they can use the dining area for any type of group activities at the table there. They have an outdoor courtyard that's a secure area. There's a patio, a porch area, and an outdoor courtyard. In the springtime, they can plant. My father does gardening, so he'll be able to go and do gardening and plant flowers or vegetables. The staff there has been amazing. Everything that I've experienced there has been amazing. They've been very easy to communicate with. I'm able to text or call when I need to. They provide individual care for each person. They individualize it and take time to know what works for each resident and make sure that they give them the type of attention that they need. They sit together and have that type of community feel where they're all eating together and talking and enjoying a meal. Everything is very well kept, very clean, modern, and updated. He seems to enjoy everything."

"Avalon Memory Care-Keller II had a lot of scheduled activities. I was there twice so I saw them in action and I know that they were doing it. The semi-private rooms were quite nicer. They were almost like two bedrooms with a shared bath. They had some patio-type space as well. The person that did the tour was very knowledgeable and did a good job of showing us around."

"Oak Hollow is a wonderful and trusted facility and the family atmosphere makes it is a perfect fit for my Mother. My Mother requires services that an Assisted Living facility couldn't accommodate so I moved her to Brookdale Oak Hollow, which was at the onset of the Covid19 pandemic. Since my Mother was new to Oak Hollow, she was quarantined in her apartment for fourteen days to ensure safety for her/residents/staff. During these fourteen days I became acquainted with the administrative, physician and care teams (all shifts). The facility is spotless, the dining area is huge and there are areas (inside and outside) for all types of activities. I witnessed first hand the daily routine, the attention to safe practices and the exceptional quality of care/compassion given to my Mother. For me, that solidified I had made the right choice. As for customized care, from the Dietician (and really all the staff) who knows my Mother's favorite foods and ensures that she has some of her favorite treats every day, to taking advantage of using the physician practice that serves the facility, Oak Hollow ensures the needs of my Mother are met. Oak Hollow is always in constant contact with me and keeps me informed of my Mother’s well being/mental/physical health. I appreciate the open communication Oak Hollow facilitates so that I know my Mother is safe, comfortable and happy. I highly recommend Oak Hollow as the choice for your loved one. "

"We checked the assisted living at Bedford Estates Senior Living. However, since we also have concerns that my father-in-law may be having dementia maybe in the near future, we were also looking at someplace that he could possibly transition from one to the other, so I like that they have both assisted living and memory care. It would have been perfect; it would have been great. We talked with the nurse, and she was just a cute thing. She would have worked with my father-in-law's medications, so it would have been a really good idea. I also like that they have individual rooms that can be like their own apartment. They would still have their own space. Everyone I met there was lovely too. They have an area where they could go outside, but they wouldn't be bothered. It's like a little park. The building was built around a courtyard in the middle, so that was very nice. Dad would love that. With them having food and everything, it would have been like being at a restaurant all the time, so my father-in-law probably would have enjoyed that, too. We talked with the dietitians when we were there as well, and they would have prepared his meal exactly like he wanted it, so it was kind of nice too."
