Little Elm Mom

The community is very quaint and has a very cozy feel. It definitely does not feel like a typical apartment community. The grounds are well maintained. The apartments themselves are very roomy and clean. Everything is single story so there are no stairs or elevators to deal with. My mother really enjoys living here and has made so many friends. There are social activities as well. The staff is the best I have ever dealt with in an apartment living environment. We love this place.

Lakeside Manor is not assisted living because they don't have a common area with meals. In this community you have to cook your own meals and you have to bring in help for your medicine, so it was more of an apartment complex. The staff was friendly but almost kind of shy to tell us about the facility because it is a three-year wait list and it is based on income. You have to be at the lowest certain income in order to even put your name on the list. It looked as if you're just living in an apartment complex. It was very nice, they have a swimming pool, jacuzzi, a weight room, and a gathering room. The best part about their surroundings is the fact that right across the street is the park of Little Elm. There you have all the walking trails and you have the center of Little Elm events there. The place is furnished in a way that looked like they were hand-me-down items. It wasn't furnished nicely but it was very clean.

I like the location and the layout of Lakeside Manor. I have no problem with the size of the unit. It is very nice and spacious. The monthly payment is all-inclusive. The management is very nice and friendly. The staff is outstanding. They do whatever you ask for and they fix things immediately. You don't have to wait forever for them to come and fix something for you. They have exercise facilities and a swimming pool. However, it's up to you if you would like to participate with the activities. They also have covered parking which is a plus.
