at age 54,, i would have never guessed that i would be admitted to a SNF for assistance after a major cervical fusion surgery. I have nothing but praise for all the staff and the therapists. it was a God send to me and a blessing to be there for 2 weeks of my recovery.

My grandma was there 5 days for respite care. They didn’t take her to toilet and she is continent. They never soaked her teeth. She now has a bed sore and tear on her leg. They never washed her hands. They never used the pjs we sent. They drugged her at night so they didn’t have to deal with her. They didn’t even give her her prescription medication we tried to send they said they would give it to her. She walked 80 feet on Wednesday and by Monday she could no longer stand. They completely neglected her!!!

I've had nothing but trouble since putting my dad here. The nurses doesn't take time to call you about doing x-rays, concern's they might have with him, appointments and ect... I put up with it for a while and complained to different ones and then finally took it to the head manager and thought I had the issues resolved but it's right back to the way it was. Plus I'm tired of having to come in and before getting to his room smell him. The food isn't good as well. Then to top it off my dad was there at least 4 months then get a bill saying I'm 2 months behind when I've paid every month then finally find out after months of being there they bill a month in advance. Which I understand why but they need to make sure to tell the person setting up a loved one this from the beginning......

My Mother was a patient there for over a year until she passed away this year. She had end stage COPD and CHF.The staff there is wonderful, they took great care of her and treated her like she was there mother or Grandmother. The Nsg Home is clean and i never once smelled any of the normal oders that Nsg Homes have. The staff attended to all of my Mother's needs and she could be demanding at times. The Recreational Department was outstanding it took a while but they were able to get her out to play Bigo and cards..I want to thank the staff for all they did. James Evans

My mother is in Bethesda, which has 24/7 life and medical care. Right now, she probaly doesn’t need all the medical care, but this is the best for her because when she is no longer on private pay, she can stay in the same place and go on to Medicaid. They have the same activities and things like that as other communities. They have activity rooms, a dining room, and a living room. For activities, they have something going on every morning and every afternoon. Usually, they have someone come and get my mother to take her to the dining room for meals, and have someone to come and get her and take her for activities or to get her hair done, then take her back to her room. She can go outside and sit and someone will take her outside. Family can take her outside to eat if the weather’s permitting. It is very nice. I don’t have complaints about it whatsoever.

My mom was in Bethesda nursing care one time before, and that was very nice. I didn't have any problem with them. It was a little larger facility. The care, the comfort, the cleanliness, the food, and everything was just awesome. The security was awesome because they had locked doors, and you had to have passcode. They had the care for therapy and rehabilitation. They had activities like sewing, singing, arts & crafts, movies, and popcorn nights.

The staff was friendly most of the time. It was a friendly facility and my friend never complained about her care. Her room was always clean, as well as her bathroom. I don't have much negative feedback to give about Bethesda Health Care. I do know, however, that the nursing assistants were told to not make a relationship with the patients, which I thought was rather odd. My friend is very close with one of her nursing assistants and that poor girl has gotten in trouble on many accounts because of her relationship with my friend. I do know that the nurse assistant will visit on her lunch breaks so I do not find it fair that she would get in trouble.
