"The staff at Spring City Healthcare Did a very good job caring for the patient. They abided by the hippa requirements by giving him privacy and not violating it. The facility was clean, welcoming, and well organized. The activities offered helped to ease the burden and transition to the center. During one visit, I was warmly welcomed by the director and treated to a cookout. The entire staff was very proffesional and encouraging even at the times it seemed as if they were short handed. We need more centers like Spring City Healthcare. "

"My wife has moved into Renaissance Terrace Community Living Center for rehab. I like the fact that the entire staff seems to be very dedicated, very conscientious, and very, you know, very dedicated towards helping people, like a lot of other medical facilities around the very shorthanded. They're doing their best to work with her. She has a lot going on and they're doing their very best to help her out. Again, a somewhat larger staff would help, but in the places that we've been this year so far, everybody is understaffed. So, nothing new, so I rate them pretty high. The overall staff that is here, I would rate high. They were very thorough explaining things, and again, we could use more people, but the ones that they have here are very good. It isn't necessarily their fault, but they do have COVID restrictions, so I can't go in there and look around. They do have a gym. It's not huge and spacious like the place we were at. Right now, she's covered by Medicare. I don't even know what the billing is."

"Nhc Healthcare, Sparta is OK. The nurses are on their toes with my husband. Whatever he needs, they can get it. The only thing that I would have to say is they don't really have enough people working there to keep things clean. Things could be better, but they just don't seem to have enough maintenance people there. My husband's room is comfortable. The food is good and he has never complained about the food. It's like home cooking. They have puzzles, and the other day they had pumpkin painting. They also have activities in the cafeteria for them daily."

"Every time we came in, people were polite to us and helped us out. They were great, but the first thing that hit you when you came in the door was the smell! It is indescribable. It smelled like green beans, a little like a squeaky disinfectant smell, and urine and feces. People seemed taken care of alright, although I do remember one instance where an old man in a wheelchair, seemingly unattended, kept trying to talk to me from the hallway. He seemed very senile and very much out of it. I was waiting for someone to come by and help him back to his room, but no one did. In general, I do find these homes slightly depressing - this one just didn't stand out to me as being any better. Yes, the home took care of the people's needs for food, water, cleanliness, and comfort in general and kept those up to standards, but again, it was not very happy feely there. "

"My experience with nursing homes has always been a pleasant experience. Al though, it was not always easy to see people placed in nursing homes, it is nice to see the people that work at these places to take care of the elderly. It is lovely to watch how much the employees at nursing homes help the unable. I have never in any of my visits to a nursing home seen a member hurt or treated badly. The atmosphere at the nursing homes was actually very cheery and not sad like you would think it would be. The technology at these facilities to help take care of the residents was above normal and seemed to help things room smoothly. In general, I think the performance of the 2 nursing homes I have visited were very well. Every family member of mine that has been placed into a nursing home has always been treated with the upmost respect. They hardly ever had a complaint. "

"My mother is in Signature HealthCARE of Putnam County. There's nothing I like about it. When we went over, she had not been cleaned up. There are no activities, she's just lying in bed. It was clean. Her room has two beds, and you can't even turn around. She has no TV and no phone. The layout was nice and they have a patio."
