My husband has been in the Life Care Center of Crossville for two and a half years already. The staff is very helpful. The doctors there, they're young, but they're good. The patients get bathed when they're supposed to. They get taken care of. The food is pretty good. The only thing I was disappointed is, well, he was wearing dentures and I said they've got to be taken out at night because otherwise his mouth could get infected and so they did that, but there were a lot of times where they didn't put them in, and what's happening, the muscles in your mouth start to weaken. They would try to put it in when I would be there to say something, and he fought them because it was hurting, so now they don't put them in and all he does is chew his tongue, so that part I'm not happy with. He probably would have been able to speak better if he had his teeth in. But they have activities for the residents there. It's also a rehabilitation center, too. They have entertainment, and they have people come in and sing and play instruments. The dining area is very good. Everything is clean. They keep the place clean, which is good. It's nice. They keep everything in its place where it belongs. The physical therapy room is clean and good. He started in the lockdown section, and I said, 'He doesn't need lockdown, he can't walk, he's not going to escape.' They saw that and they finally moved him into the regular section. The staff members were all patient and very good.

I don’t know where to start. I’ll just say that it has taken over 4 days for my mother to come out of the fog they put her in with over medicating her. First with Risperdal, then Ativan at too high of a dose. Plus they never had me sign paperwork approving these drugs until after they had already put her on it. It’s like sweeping around your own back door after the fact. She could not eat due to being drugged. The nurse supervisor told me all this standing in my mothers room. Never will my mother step foot I. This place again.

My grandparents are residents of Life Care Center of Crossville. I'm not a fan of that community. I don't think they take good care of my grandmother. She has dementia and she is not getting the proper memory care that's needed. That's why I was trying to move her to Alabama so she could get on a memory care facility, and that is not an option anymore because her dementia is too far gone. They are understaffed, she probably gets like two nurses a day that come in and take care of her. I have complained multiple times. It's just a regular dining facility. They have about eight community tables. Everyone in that facility is pretty much bedridden, and they just bring it to the room. They have no other amenities. They have a public parking lot that fits about 24 cars, and that's it. They don't do any activities or any type of outside care. I was trying to get them to leave, because my grandmother needs memory care, and they do not offer that; it's just a nursing home. If we come to visit, they're understaffed, and it's not a very clean facility. I'm just unsatisfied with this nursing home.

These are the hardest working staff I have ever seen. One hard thing to do is to leave here. They were an awesome team and I will miss them. Covid has made it hard on everyone but for them..they kept on going. Thank you for your service. Tom and Margie

It’s clean, light and airy. Has a clean smell. The furniture is in good condition, in and out of the residence rooms. The staff is excellent. Food is very satisfactory. Would not have my love one anywhere else.

Life Care Center of Crossville did assisted living all the way through full care. The rooms were nice for a nursing home setting. The staff seemed nice. I didn't get a bad impression at all. The place was fine. They had a sitting room and a place for the residents to eat. It's clean, but had the atmosphere of a nursing home. The people that I saw seemed OK, but it had the strange smell of a nursing home. It wasn't dirty; they just had so many people there.

I have visited many people in the facility. I think the employees work very hard for each individual in that building the respect they have for their residents are absolutely outstanding. The food they served was very good I even had the option to eat with my friends that was pretty nice. The cna s are wxceptional and the nurses were very good on being on top of their medicines. I continue to visit folks there. Very good place. Just go check it out.

Our experience with Life Care Center of Crossville was not as good as where my relative is in now. The rooms were really small and we had to ask for everything. The people were OK, and the dining area was OK. He just didn't use it too much. He usually ate in his room. He didn't have any activities because he wasn't able to participate.

I didn't feel that the staff were caring.y grandmother had difficulty getting her needs met. The nursing staff seemed uninterested and unwilling to help. There were no instances of abuse or neglect, but I didn't feel that the nursing staff was very compassionate. The dietary department did go the extra mile for my grandmother. There were some activities for her to participate in, and participation was voluntary. The activities staff didn't find very original or stimulating activities. My grandmother did enjoy her free social time, talking with the other residents. The facilities themselves were adaquate. I never noticed any problems with the structures or rooms. The rooms are small, but that's to be expected.
