"My husband moved into Brookdale Brea. I like the staff. Everybody is very friendly. The residents all seem very happy. They're very welcoming. The food is very good. I've had it myself. They were very gracious to offer food to sample before we made a decision, because that was a big concern for us. Everything is very clean and well-kept, so just overall really good experience so far. They serve three meals a day. They have a very nice dining room. They encourage the residents to go there to eat. Frankly, if you don't go there to eat, there's a charge, so that's encouraging, too. But it is a very pleasant dining area, and they encourage families to come and join in. There's a charge for that understandably, but they do encourage that if you want to. The only challenge with the overall facility is that parking is not always available. Now they had just remodeled and upgraded my husband's room before he moved in, so new cabinetry, everything was painted, a new air conditioning, everything. So, from our perspective, it's very, very nice, and everything is well-maintained. But the parking is a little bit of a challenge. They have a variety of things to do. They have a very nice patio area, too, and the residents are all encouraged to have a role. So they have elected a president, and they have a board, and so they get a lot of engagement. And even in some of the residents' gardens in the patio area, the herbs are used in food preparation. It's just things like that that we didn't find in other places where they are encouraging everybody to participate, contribute, and be part of the community. The other thing that they do that I really appreciate is they honor their veterans."

"My wife will be moving into Sunnycrest Senior Living in the first week of July. The facility is nice. I just saw the rooms for a few minutes and it looks fine. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They had movies and games for their activities."

"La Mirada Heights was very nice. The place was very big and very pleasant. It was very clean, and there were no odors or anything like that. It was very well-kept. I didn't really experience it in terms of eating or anything, but the dining area was very nice. The staff was very nice and pleasant. The place also had a library and a gym."

"As a resident of two years,and a highly educated person, I am fully disappointed in how this administration is as phoney as I have ever experienced. I also find them wholly unqualified to deal with residents, problems, outcomes. There is no follow through or any explanations as to why not. The lack of conscious thinking or acting is appalling. This is no place I would ever send a loved one. "

"My mother was at Richman Gardens in Fullerton for over 3 years and has just past away at the age of 88. She had dementia, COPD, and heart problems. I can't say enough about this facility, the workers were always friendly and very helpful and always gave my mother the best care possible even if she didn't want it. They always called me right away if something wasn't right about my mom and I trusted them with my mom. She loved the place and wasn't scared there at all. The place is small only 26 beds but that is exactly what I liked about it! The gardens are amazing and very relaxing. Sincerely Linda W. "

"It was very clean and very beautiful. It's got beautiful gardens and beautiful accommodations. The staff gave me a tour of the memory care. They were very, very knowledgeable. They have crafts, yoga, and different activities. The dining room was beautiful. They also have a TV room that's very clean and very nice. Another thing was I don't have to make appointments to go see my sister if I place her there and people can go visit her. It's open 24 hours. So, that's a plus because sometimes you'd make an appointment and it's hard to get there. So, you're able to go there when you can. I'm in love with that place."

"I toured Oakmont of Whittier. Everybody looked professional. They offered everything from a beautiful movie theater to a salon, and barbershop. They have a beautiful courtyard, a beautiful dining area, and they have a little coffee shop type of thing for morning people, a big workout room, and a therapist. They use a massage table, that was all downstairs, a beautiful library, and a nice, big living room where they have entertainment or activities, big entertainment like wine tasting and stuff like that. And then they have their Bible studies for men. They have a lot on their menu for activities and it's very clean."

"I toured. The rooms were really nice; the majority were private. They had an open house type of event when I was there, which was kind of cool, and I met a few people. Liza was very nice. She gave me a good tour. They had some nice amenities like the library and entertainment room."

"There wasn't anything that I didn't like about Cambridge Court. I liked that all the rooms that were shown to us fit everyone's needs and wants. They were big and you're not sharing with someone else. It's just you. I liked how they had a kitchen and a mini fridge in them. I liked the menu that they had for the seniors, the game nights, the movies, the shopping sprees, and all those events for them. They're not just sitting there doing their thing, but they're getting up and doing something with their day. The garden that they had was beautiful. It's got flowers in it, roses and everything was clean and just spotless. I met one of the people from the cafeteria area and she was nice and polite. She helped us. The person who was in charge of everything was very nice and professional as well, showing us everything and all the daily activities that they do and giving us all the information."

They were able to answer all our questions. The rooms and the common area looked nice. It's all-new, and the rooms were good-sized."
