I can say without a doubt that placing my brother-in- law at Heritage Grove has been a blessing. There is peace of mind knowing that they are well cared for. "Whitetail Springs Assisted Living and Memory Care is a beautiful place. The people are friendly. It's a very nice facility. The staff showed me a room that my parents would share and then talked about different ways they could care for them. It's clean and pretty. It seems like there is a lot to do. Everyone seemed happy. The staff during the tour was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Everything looked nice, clean, and new. The room was clean, new, updated, and had adequate space."

"The rooms that they showed us at Graceful Care Living just had a bed in them, and that's it. We knew immediately when we got there that that wasn't what we were looking for. The staff mentioned that they have another section for people who are more independent. However, it was still somewhat the same concept. Instead of being in a room, like a small, single room, there were two beds. There was no television in those independent rooms. You have to go out of the room to watch television. It was that type of atmosphere, and my mother doesn't want that. She wants something that's like a small apartment, where she can live in that small space and be able to care for herself. I liked the atmosphere. I liked the staff. They're very nice and very accommodating as we went through the tour. My mom asked questions, although she didn't ask very many because she knew, and I could tell just from how she was withdrawn that she was like, "No, this is not going to work for me." I said it to the guy. I said, she's a lot more independent. She can get around fairly well, but this is not for her. She still needs to be in her own place where she can take care of herself. The only thing that she needed was somebody to help her, like to come in and help her to make sure that she's taking her meds. I didn't smell anything. It was very clean."

"Paramount Senior Living-Bethel was very welcoming. The staff and residents seemed to have a great interaction with each other. The staff was very knowledgeable and wanted to show my daughter and me everything they had to offer. They have outdoor space, like a little courtyard area. They get three meals a day."

"The tour experience at Harmony at Harts Run was excellent. The facility was very well taken care of and clean. They have very nice people that work there. I would give it a high recommendation. The staff was excellent. Everything was great. The food was excellent. The dining area was very clean and nice."

"The rooms are cleaned and have been painted and modernized. Unlike another facility where I had my mother, this one has nice bedding and furniture with drawers and large handles for my mom’s use. The closet is quite large and there is a nice-sized window for her to look out. My mother loves the quality and quantity of the food and often boasts about how good it tastes. I was visiting recently and one of the nurses brought donuts to celebrate national donut day. My mom is constantly busy at Heritage grove and often goes to play games, attends art classes, or participated in a chair exercise class. My sister and I have seen a huge difference in her mental awareness and focus since moving there. The staff are thoughtful and caring, as is the owner; this is rare to find and I appreciate all they do each day for my mother."

"The Grand was a gift to our family. After several years of having my mother in-law in and out of larger, corporate ran facilities, The Grand was the only place she truly felt at home in. Staff turnover was always an issue at the other facilities she was in before we moved her into the Grand. Simply put, when you become a resident of the Grand, you become family. This was evident each time that we visited her. I think what separates The Grand from the larger institutionally owned facilities is that it’s family owned and operated. The food is top-notch along with the cleanliness. The peace of mind that we now have with my mother in-law being a current resident at the Grand is priceless. "

"My mother is now living at Beechwood Court at Lafayette Manor. We had very good recommendations from other contacts, and that's what we went with. The staff is very attentive. They have activities for the residents, which is a good thing. I have no complaints about cleanliness. Mom and other residents do comment about the food that the vegetables aren't cooked quite enough, but overall I have no complaints at this time. They have church service. They have someone that comes in once a week and has sing-along sessions, comic sessions, and strictly entertainment. They have chitchat sessions where they get together and the residents can give their opinions and that type of thing. They make an attempt to keep their residents occupied and entertained, which is a good thing. I get a lot of negatives from mom regarding the food. I understand that other residents have the same opinions that there's not enough vegetables. They feel more vegetables could be cooked longer so they are softer. Of course, at that age you don't want crunchy, you want soft. The director has been very helpful and very accommodating with questions and resolving small issues."

"The staff at The Haven at North Hills was very kind, considerate, courteous, and went out of their way just to make people comfortable. They answered any questions that I had and were more than willing to offer information even if I didn't ask the question. Their rooms were a lot bigger compared to the other two places I visited. They were newly decorated and had more up-to-date furnishings. It was just too far out of my way to go, so there was a distance issue. "

"My mother has been there for over 2 years and everyone is wonderful. The rooms are either new or have been remodeled so it is very clean, bright, and cheerful. We have regular care plan meetings and they keep meticulous records of how she is doing and address any of our concerns and questions. Her overall health has improved since she has been there. She is 97 and was so frail when she went there that we thought she was in her final days. She has dementia and everyone is so loving and patient with her."
