"I visited Mount Vernon of South Park for my cousin. I thought it was a great place. I felt that the person in charge that I spoke with was excellent. She took me around to every place and showed me everything including the list of activities that their residents can do. The facility seemed very clean. It seemed like a very nice place. They have nurses on staff, which I really liked. However, it was too far away for my sister in addition to the cost. I liked the place and thought everyone there was very nice, but the cost was the issue. "

"My husband has moved into Abode Care of Monroeville assisted living. I was impressed with its front. It's just nice when you walk into the area. His room is spacious. They were able to get him into a semi-private one but nobody else is in there with him so that's a good thing. I would say they're short of staff. They invited us to a gathering there, it was a Thanksgiving dinner, and all the staff from all areas seemed to be there. They were very friendly and helpful but they don't have enough staff at night. They come if you need them, though. They have a thing around my husband's neck and sometimes we call if we want them to do something and they come. Physical therapy is all my husband has been able to do but they have a TV room where people meet. I was told that they have games, too, but he doesn't want to participate in them. The dining area is nice and spacious. The people are not jammed up on each other and they have nice tables. My husband just complains about the food because it seems like it's not freshly cooked. I guess they had it brought in. He is accustomed to home-cooked food so he complains about it."

"We moved my parents into an assisted living facility a couple of months ago called Paramount Senior. It is both independent and assisted living. It was a nice fit for them; they are in one unit together, but one is independent and one needs assistance. I think it’s a pretty long run operation; my only concern is the turnover with the staff. "

"I visited for my grandfather. It was very clean and very nice. I did not interact much with the staff, except the salesperson, but he was very helpful and friendly."

"Whitetail Springs Assisted Living and Memory Care is a beautiful place. The people are friendly. It's a very nice facility. The staff showed me a room that my parents would share and then talked about different ways they could care for them. It's clean and pretty. It seems like there is a lot to do. Everyone seemed happy. The staff during the tour was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Everything looked nice, clean, and new. The room was clean, new, updated, and had adequate space."

"I ride by Paramount everyday. They have assisted living and dementia care. The facility was only three years old. It's new and very clean. Everything was newer in it. It was also very well run. I like the staff. They seemed to be very organized. They did have a nice courtyard. However, I just didn't like the atmosphere. Everything was white. They were like bland and they didn't have any character to it. For activities, at that time, they were just playing some kind of a game in a room. "

"My mom was at Grand Residence at Upper St Clair. She ended up falling and breaking her nose five times in seven days. It's like a hotel and very nice. I think the staff is good, but my mom wasn't ready for the move, and she may have been reluctant to call them for assistance. Part of that issue was that most of the their assistance were high school kids. I don't have anything bad to say about the people or management. It just didn't work out. I think they are just more catered to people who are not fall-risks than people who are fall-risks. The dining is first class and the food is top-shelf and very good. "

"I feel that everything about this facility it top notch. All of the residents where taken care of - all special diets were maintained, they have plenty of activities available to them, they have opportunities to leave the home and go to different places around the community, the rooms are not overcrowded, and the staff is very dedicated and caring. There are familiy days where visitors come and do different activities with the residents. There are different levels of activities for residents with different abilities such as horse race nights, exercise groups, bingo, arts and crafts, and more. The staff was also very caring and considerate - adhering to all sanitation guidelines and being very caring and keeping a great feeding and medication schedule. The residents were also very pleased (at least as pleased as people in a nursing home can be) with the care that they were receiving. Also, any repairs needed to be made to the home (such as when the air conditioning went out) the owners take care of the problem as fast and easy as possible with the least amount of inconvenience to the residents. "

"My mom is in Amber House at Harmon House. They do a good job there, it's clean, and the care is pretty good, although they are understaffed. The staff is very good. Food could be better. They have bingo, bowling. They have activities and they have entertainment, and they offer religious activities like Rosary. You never think you get what you pay for, but it's adequate, it's a fair price."

"Rooms are clean staff is great , elevators are inspected per Pa statute code and meals are good coming out of world pandemic and are getting better despite a few selections that no octogenarian would enjoy . After2 years here we see 3 areas needing improvement . 1:update the front door for handicap accessible wheelchairs . 2: hire more staff 3:HIRE a crative cognitive arts director who will stimulate these minds . Activity attendance May increase . Thats a win-win for all . "

"Connellsville was very poor. It was unclean and totally negligent as far as the care of the patients. They needed a complete overhaul as far as the place, the staff, everything. "
