"We chose Sycamore Estate for Mom because they had better staffing and their price was better than most places. The food Mom was eating looked fine, but I have not tried it myself. The one drawback I have is they don’t have wide hallways for the wheelchair. Other than that, I don't have any complaints at this point. They have arts and crafts and bingo. They were decorating shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day the other day. I like the fact that I would not have to move my mother again if her condition worsens. "

"Connellsville was very poor. It was unclean and totally negligent as far as the care of the patients. They needed a complete overhaul as far as the place, the staff, everything. "

"I feel that everything about this facility it top notch. All of the residents where taken care of - all special diets were maintained, they have plenty of activities available to them, they have opportunities to leave the home and go to different places around the community, the rooms are not overcrowded, and the staff is very dedicated and caring. There are familiy days where visitors come and do different activities with the residents. There are different levels of activities for residents with different abilities such as horse race nights, exercise groups, bingo, arts and crafts, and more. The staff was also very caring and considerate - adhering to all sanitation guidelines and being very caring and keeping a great feeding and medication schedule. The residents were also very pleased (at least as pleased as people in a nursing home can be) with the care that they were receiving. Also, any repairs needed to be made to the home (such as when the air conditioning went out) the owners take care of the problem as fast and easy as possible with the least amount of inconvenience to the residents. "

"We selected Eicher's Family Home for Mom. It's very clean and the residents are well taken care of, which you can tell by the way they look. They are dressed and they don't sit in wheelchairs, but in nice recliners. The food is great. The staff is very friendly. It's great. They have activities and the food is all homemade. I've seen some of the food and it looks wonderful. We're all pleased with it."

"My mom is in Amber House at Harmon House. They do a good job there, it's clean, and the care is pretty good, although they are understaffed. The staff is very good. Food could be better. They have bingo, bowling. They have activities and they have entertainment, and they offer religious activities like Rosary. You never think you get what you pay for, but it's adequate, it's a fair price."

"Twin Oaks Home Care provided in home care to my 93 year old mother who has alzheimer's before she had to enter a nursing home for skilled nursing care. I was previously with another home care agency but switched to Twin Oaks because of the lack of care my mother was receiving from them. The Twin Oaks home care health aides were excellent with my mother. One thing that impressed me with Twin Oakes was that they would rotate sending only two different women to care for my mother. My mother was receiving nine hours of care a day, six days a week. When I told Twin Oaks that I was very pleased that they only sent two different women, they told me the reason they do this is because alzheimer patients react better having the same familiar person take care of them. The other agency would rotate sending six different women The caregivers from Twin Oaks had extreme patience with my mother and would do activities with her to help with her memory. They kept my mother extremely clean and I never experienced a urine order on my mother, but I did with the other agency. The women were always on time and my mother looked forward to them coming. They not only took care of her health needs, but also interacted with her by reading to her, playing games, and listening to her talk about the past. They never hesitated to call me at work if my mother was having a problem. I could leave for work in the morning without a worry knowing that my mother was being well cared for. When my mother would become agitated and upset, they would sit and hold her hand and give her reassurance. They treated my mother with respect and went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable and safe. especially when she was having a bad day. "Peroni Personal Care Home has a happy and homey atmosphere, and it is only four miles from home, so we visit my husband every day. He moved there a couple of weeks ago. It's assisted living, but he has hospice nurses who come in as well. The owner has a golden retriever that she brings in, and they go around and visit with the patients. My mother was in one ten years ago, and it wasn't this personal. They have small tables in the dining room. It's not a very big dining room. The care is one on one and I like that. He gets help with his bathing, shaving, and everything. The facility is nice, there's no smell of urine or anything, and I like it because it's a homey place. I like that they have a porch where they can go out and sit on the swing. Our daughter took him out for a ride, so you can take the residents out. We also visit him every day. He uses a little push thing that has a seat on it because he can't stand by himself, and there's always somebody to help him. They all seem to accept him, know him, and call him by name. He gets a little bit cranky sometimes, but they're very nice and he likes it. If he's too hot, they try to accommodate. If he says his bed is too warm, they are always there to do it over and make it comfortable. I like their staff because when I go in, they always say hi. They seem to make it their business to know who's coming and going, and the personal touch is always there. I go up and sit with him at lunchtime because he's very difficult. He's lost his appetite and he's on medication trying to stimulate it, but nothing tastes good to him. He's pretty critical but they try very hard to make him eat. I see that the food is pretty good too. Every Wednesday they have a guy who comes in to sing, play the guitar, and entertain them. I don't know if he will get much out of that, though, because he's so hard of hearing."

"My wife moved to Generations Elder Care. There's only about 18 to 20 people in the home. It's just a personal care home. They're the only ones that offered to take her. She had been diagnosed with bipolar (type III), and had some pretty severe reactions. They keep the place nice and clean, and they've been great. I haven't tasted the food, but my wife said it's pretty good. They have a patio that the residents can use. There's a lot of really fancy places, but this is not fancy. This is a basic place, actually. It's well maintained, and the staff is great, which is what I was looking for."

"Our mother has been in Easy Living Estates for a month and half now. So far, we are very pleased with the facility, the care, and the administrative end of things, and we have no complaints. The staff is fine, and we have had no problems with them. The food and the activities are both great. They have at least three activities every day, from crocheting to music coming in as entertainment from the local area, to bingo, to Price is Right and numerous things provided by a social person at the facility. "

"We placed my mom here December 2019. She was struggling with senility and could no longer live alone. After visiting several local facilities, we chose Kings. It impressed us that it looked like a home. Many of the higher priced homes in the area looked like a hallway that simply had a row of doors that led to the rooms. At Kings, the staff is right there near the residents. They aren't far away at all if your loved one needs help. Their staff is so attentive and caring to everyone. My mom loved to eat and these ladies are excellent cooks and cook from scratch. This means so much to the residents. My mom did pass away in October. She had Hospice there also to help but I had peace of mind that she did not die alone. I have health problems and couldn't be there with her. A friend of mine has a father who was in a local nursing home paying thousands a month. He was not getting the care he needed and kept ending up in the hospital. I told him about Kings. He went the next day and his father moved in a few days later. His Dad is very happy now and I'm glad I could recommend Kings to them. You will not be disappointed if you choose Kings for your loved one."
