My mother has moved into Barnes Place. It's close to where I live and my mom liked the idea that there was a little kitchen in the room. I liked that it was single-floor living. There were no multiple floors. The staff and everyone is very nice. Just the whole process was very nice. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions. They made it a smooth transition for Mom. She is very picky, but the food is fine. Tonight, they had a New Year's Eve party. They paint, they cook, and they play games. There's a lot of activities. They're going on an outing in a couple of weeks to go shopping. There's a lot for them to do. We're pleased with it. Every single staff member that I have come across has been fine and my mom has liked them all. It's clean. She's having a good time and said that there's a lot to do.

Barnes Place was very nice. The setting wasn't quite as rural, and they didn't have as much property, but all the facilities inside were very nice. They had activities, a nice dining hall, and nice community areas. The apartments were nice. The staff was very friendly. They had a pretty good menu every day.

Barnes Place was nice and clean. I liked that the residents were out and active. Everyone was friendly and the residents were all well taken care of. The lady that gave us the tour was outstanding at communicating with us. They had a salon, restaurant-style dining, and they had a lot of outside courtyards.

My sister-in-law is at Barnes Place right now. We chose it for her because of the good care they provide, and because it was actually close to where I live. So far the staff is also good. They've all been very helpful every time I call them, or we've had any problems. I haven't seen her since because of the COVID, but I have an appointment to see her soon. The main problem for now is she's not eating, but they are already working with that. I don't have any complaints about the community. They are doing their job and they're doing their best for my sister-in-law.

Barnes Place was very nice, very clean, and up-to-date, and it had good lighting. The dining room looked like you're going to dine in a restaurant somewhere. They've only shown me 2 apartments and they're also nice and clean. The person who gave us the tour was named Stephanie, was very nice and gave us a lot of information. She also called us afterwards to find out what we're going to do. It's more modern, open, with more sunlight and so on. The apartments have their own little kitchen. It's like your own little room and you have everything you need.

Barnes Place was my absolute favorite. It was beautiful, and the people were so helpful. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, even the small ones. The staff was wonderful. There was a worker named Carrie who called me at home because she had given me some names of other places to go. She’d call me and ask, “How are things going? How is your sister? Is everybody doing OK? Is there anything else I can help you with?” She was just wonderful. Everybody there was good and very pleasant. I was very impressed by them. I told them I want to go there.

Barnes Place would have been a very good choice. They were very personable and answered all of myquestions. The place was clean and neat. The rooms were studios. They had multiple rooms for activities that were very nice.

Barnes Place has everything that we needed, the staff was extremely helpful, and it was also close to my relatives, so it ended up being a great spot for my mother to continue to improve. They have scheduled activities beginning after breakfast that go through the afternoon, and they are pretty consistent with other activities. They have book clubs, bingo, card playing, arts and crafts, and they also different denominational services. So they have a number of things that she can participate in. I like their dining area; it is very open. I think that they had provided a nice Thanksgiving dinner with the actual turkey, so that was something that was very much appreciated by the guests. She has an L-shaped room with a small kitchenette complete with a small refrigerator and a microwave, it has a bath that is equipped for people that need help holding on, and there is a decent-sized closet. I was able to get a bed, a reclining chair, a TV and TV stand, and a little dinette table in her room. So I think it is very comfortable, and although it isn't big, it is adequate for her needs.

Very caring staff. Director of facility excellent and took the time to take care of concerns and needs for my mother. My sister and I living out of state have the peace of mind knowing that our mother will be taken care of. Very clean facility. Well educated staff.
