I have friends at The Addison of Uniontown, and I've been over there a lot, but this time I was over there because I had some thoughts about moving and selling my home, and getting something that wasn't as big. I liked the atmosphere, the location, and everything about it. It was clean, very well maintained, and they have a lot to offer. However, at this particular time, I don't need all the conveniences. I can do my own cooking, and I wouldn't be able to do that there. The people who work there are very nice. The man who goes out and visits people to promote their facilities, when he would come, he'd bring me a full meal. I ate over there whenever my friend was there. She asked me to come over and have lunch with her. You buy your lunch, and you have a place at the table. Everybody eats together. It's like a family setting.

We have a thoroughly wonderful experience with Marquis Gardens Place. We moved Mom in. She's 102. It's in her hometown where she grew up. She immediately made friends with a girl she knew in high school who was going to turn 100. So, they were best buddies and they hit it off. The facilities are nice and the people bend over backwards to help you. She's happy, which is amazing. She is in a studio that has a bed and a sitting area. Then she has a little kitchenette. Nothing hot in it, but there's a refrigerator, freezer, a microwave, a sink, and some cupboards there. She has a full walk-in shower and she's very happy with it. She took part in a Sunday service there and she gets a lot of visitors (she has a lot of relatives around there). It's a U-shaped facility and the center is a nice courtyard. The building is perfect. Everything's white hallways and accessible for wheelchairs. It's a good layout. They're refurbishing them, too. So, it's under construction and that's a good thing. They have a nice dining facility. They have a podiatrist that comes in once a month. It's by far the best one around that area because I've checked them all out. It's fair- priced.

We visited here. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. The apartments were nice, nicely sized, and clean. It's a very nice facility. It was a limited tour because of COVID, but everything was good. It was nicely laid out. It was like an open rectangle, and there was a courtyard in the middle. I only got to meet two staff members, but they were very nice and answered our questions.
