"I toured the Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. On every floor we were taken to, I didn't see any discrepancies. We were taken to the memory care division. It looked like it was a clean place, so I have no complaints. The staff member who gave the tour was not knowledgeable, but the person they claimed we were supposed to see had something else to do, so they put another person on to take us around. He was OK. If we had another person who normally does it, we'd get more information on him, but it wasn't bad. It was OK. It looked like a clean area. I didn't see anything wrong with the rooms they showed us and that we passed through, but I peeked, and they looked well-kept. They showed us different rooms. They showed us one-on-one, and then we saw two-on-two. I mean two people in a room, and we saw one person in the room. So it was OK."

"I toured the Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. It was good and very respectful, nice, kind, and clean. The dining area was good. They keep the residents occupied with events every week and try to make it so that everyone is comfortable, which is very helpful. The staff member who gave the tour was very kind."

"My mom was at Rockville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for about 2 months.... from the minute she walked in till the day she left she was always treated with respect. The staff is exceptional. Nurses and aids were very attentive and encouraging and the physical therapist were amazing. They took such good care of her and made her feel at home. She regained her strength and her independence. Linda the social worker was exceptional, always there to help! She made sure my mother went home with everything she needed and with the services that were needed. My mother is 91 years old and is stronger, healthier and happier then when she entered. The facility itself is getting a beautiful facelift. The rooms are light and airy and very comfortable. Thank you to the hardworking staff and thank you Linda for all your help and advice."

"I was at Oceanside Care Center for about a month. The care was great. The facility was spotless and the rehab people were great. Everything in that place was good. There are usually two people in each room separated by a curtain. There's a bathroom in each room with two closets. They have a cafeteria where they show movies, they have talks and educational films. The food was acceptable. It wasn't great, but compared to other rehabs, the food was pretty good. The staff worked very hard. It wasn't that comfortable to have a roommate, so that's the only thing, but you can't help that. They have a rehab gym. It's the best rehab in the area. I was in four different ones, and that was the best."

"I experienced a bad fall while on vacation in California.After 2surgeries & acute rehab My Family reached out to Lynbrook .The staff took care of everything Once paperwork was sent they assessed my needs I was approved for admission I arrived at JFK and was transported to facility there I was treated by my core care team. There I was with no ability to stand /walk or use my hand 8 weeks later I am home with ability to walk and start my craft work. I found Lynbrook to be very responsive,clean with very caring staff The chef is very creative providing tasty meals If you or Family member need therapy you will not regret using Lynbrook restorative care "

"I toured The Grand Pavilion for Rehab & Nursing. It looked very clean and cheerful. The people were friendly. Everyone was very helpful. Everyone was very informative. I got a very good feeling about the place overall. They had a rehab room. They had a community room where people go for crafts and things like that. They have a bathing area and an outdoor space when the weather is nice."

"My mom is in Orzac Center for Rehabilitation for rehab. So far the nurses are excellent. I think that the nursing assistants could use a little more assisting as far as being attentive. Rehabilitation is the number one in this area, that's why we were there twice a day, six days a week is excellent. The dining. is good, if you don't care for what you have, you can call downstairs and they'll send you something else. I like that. I like the fact that when there are underlying conditions like my mother's because she has DVT, I noticed that her leg is huge the same way it was when I first took her to the E.R. last Sunday. And immediately the doctor came in at this time of the night. She's in a shared room, I had an issue with the bathroom, it was awful. And the floor was being mopped, but they weren't doing the wall behind the toilet. So if you have a family member who's there who can push it, and they came in and cleaned it, it's spotless. When you first walk in, the facility is like a five-star hotel. It's beautiful. They have a huge patio area, tables and umbrellas, and they have a lot of activities. They have activities in the day room, they bring in live animals. Every day, there is something. Tomorrow is going to be a church service at 2:15. Today they did something with bingo. Every time I go there they are finishing off an activity, but just to have you take your loved one, push them in the wheelchair out on their patio, it doesn't seem like you're sitting in Valley Stream. It seems like you're sitting out somewhere in the countryside."

"There were very nice and spacious rooms. My cousins mom came there on a vent during the pandemic. She had covid and had to get a vent at the hospital. She was now discharged from them and was able to walk out herself! it was beautiful. "

"Really impressed with the care here. The administrator was really personable and caring. He sat with me for 3 hours and worked through some of my concerns. Can't beat how much time he spent trying to make my life a little easier, kind of uncomfortable having mom outside my hands after being home with us for so long. Also nurse Kethrine was working late nights with us and was very very impressive as well. Rehab is going well I can tell there are staffed really well. Overall very happy so far"

"My husband was sent to Nassau Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. It was all right. They called me every other day to let me know his condition, how he was doing, and what they were doing to keep him comfortable. I appreciated that they would keep me updated. The staff was OK. They were caring and concerned just as much as I was concerned, especially one of the social workers, Debra. She was very helpful. The facility itself was very nice. It's very large. You go inside, it's very clean, and everybody seems to know what they're doing. They can direct you to wherever you need to go and whatever you need to do. I didn't have any problems with him being there. They have social services and physical therapy. He didn't get to do too much of that, and he wasn't really able to do too much walking. Everybody was very helpful and knowledgeable."

"There's nothing that I didn't like at The Five Towns Premier Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. I like that even with COVID going on, they gave us a complete tour of the building. It's immaculate, it's clean and they are professional. You can see that the staff is very friendly, they care about their patients and you could see that it's professionally run. The staff is very clean in uniform and their amenities were nice."

"My mother is in Garden Care Center. It's a small place, but it's a great place. It's rehab and skilled nursing facility. They're very good, and it's very clean. The people there are very nice and very helpful. They're always taking care of everything. I give them a lot of credit. It's not easy to be taking care of elderly people. Because of COVID, they're not having any gathering, but when they'll go to rehab, they'll try to play some games and stuff there. It's close to where I live. Her doctors go there, so for my situation, it was very convenient because not that much has changed for her as far as doctors and things like that. It's very near the hospital in Valley Stream and there are restaurants."
