"Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare was clean, and the staff seemed friendly. They have a gym. The courtyard is very small, and it's mainly for smokers, so that's the only thing. They have days where they sing, and they have movie nights, too. However, they didn't have too much entertainment. Also, some of the couches were old. They were nice and elegant, but they were a little bit old. In terms of location, there's a restaurant and a hospital nearby."

"I toured the Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. On every floor we were taken to, I didn't see any discrepancies. We were taken to the memory care division. It looked like it was a clean place, so I have no complaints. The staff member who gave the tour was not knowledgeable, but the person they claimed we were supposed to see had something else to do, so they put another person on to take us around. He was OK. If we had another person who normally does it, we'd get more information on him, but it wasn't bad. It was OK. It looked like a clean area. I didn't see anything wrong with the rooms they showed us and that we passed through, but I peeked, and they looked well-kept. They showed us different rooms. They showed us one-on-one, and then we saw two-on-two. I mean two people in a room, and we saw one person in the room. So it was OK."

"I was at Oceanside Care Center for about a month. The care was great. The facility was spotless and the rehab people were great. Everything in that place was good. There are usually two people in each room separated by a curtain. There's a bathroom in each room with two closets. They have a cafeteria where they show movies, they have talks and educational films. The food was acceptable. It wasn't great, but compared to other rehabs, the food was pretty good. The staff worked very hard. It wasn't that comfortable to have a roommate, so that's the only thing, but you can't help that. They have a rehab gym. It's the best rehab in the area. I was in four different ones, and that was the best."

"My mom came to live at the Grand Pavillion in February. She had previously been in another nursing home in Freeport which was OK but when Covid shut everything down they were not very responsive or helpful so I had to take her out of there. I had her at home for a while but it was very difficult because she is immobile. She ended up going to the hospital and from there they suggested she go to a rehab, based on some of the reviews I saw for GP, I was not so happy about it but she needed to start rehab immediately after the hospital so I agreed. I have to say my experience with the administration and staff has been nothing but excellent. They have an excellent online site that you can schedule FaceTime visits. They email you a reminder 30 minutes prior and they are generally on time within five minutes. Last week they opened for in person visits and I finally got to see the facility and meet the staff. I could not be more impressed and my mom is so happy there. They are incredibly caring which is something I did not feel with her previous nursing home. Not to say the people weren’t caring but they seemed overwhelmed and here they seem to have a very good ratio of caregivers to residence. All of the staff that I have met is wonderful and genuinely caring for the residents. I have been there a total of three times in person and I am more impressed every time I go. My mom is doing better than she has ever done since Covid lockdowns. While I am of course sad that she had to go into the hospital, I am also thankful that the result was that she now resides at the Grand Pavillion. I would highly recommend for anyone considering a long-term care residence for their loved one."

"If your looking for a place that provides top-notch quality care, this is your place. The aids, the nurses, and also the rehab staff are really passionate about what they do for their residence. This place is always clean and has delicious meals served three times a day. It also has a beautiful bakery that bass fish guts and makes fresh coffee on premises and you can have whatever you want for free for yourself and for your visitors."

"My mom was at Rockville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for about 2 months.... from the minute she walked in till the day she left she was always treated with respect. The staff is exceptional. Nurses and aids were very attentive and encouraging and the physical therapist were amazing. They took such good care of her and made her feel at home. She regained her strength and her independence. Linda the social worker was exceptional, always there to help! She made sure my mother went home with everything she needed and with the services that were needed. My mother is 91 years old and is stronger, healthier and happier then when she entered. The facility itself is getting a beautiful facelift. The rooms are light and airy and very comfortable. Thank you to the hardworking staff and thank you Linda for all your help and advice."

"There were very nice and spacious rooms. My cousins mom came there on a vent during the pandemic. She had covid and had to get a vent at the hospital. She was now discharged from them and was able to walk out herself! it was beautiful. "

"This facility went way down hill after Super Storm Sandy and I know many people who said it was a dump and had bad care. However after researching rehab facilities in the area for my mom at the beginning of the year I went in for a tour and found out there were new owners and the building was fully renovated from Sandy. The building is beautiful , everything is brand new. And everyone we dealt with from the nurses , social workers, and physical therapists were so pleasant and informative on the whole process. My mom only had to stay a few weeks for physical therapy after a hip surgery but we were very pleased with her stay and rehabilitation. "

"There's nothing that I didn't like at The Five Towns Premier Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. I like that even with COVID going on, they gave us a complete tour of the building. It's immaculate, it's clean and they are professional. You can see that the staff is very friendly, they care about their patients and you could see that it's professionally run. The staff is very clean in uniform and their amenities were nice."

"My mom is in Orzac Center for Rehabilitation for rehab. So far the nurses are excellent. I think that the nursing assistants could use a little more assisting as far as being attentive. Rehabilitation is the number one in this area, that's why we were there twice a day, six days a week is excellent. The dining. is good, if you don't care for what you have, you can call downstairs and they'll send you something else. I like that. I like the fact that when there are underlying conditions like my mother's because she has DVT, I noticed that her leg is huge the same way it was when I first took her to the E.R. last Sunday. And immediately the doctor came in at this time of the night. She's in a shared room, I had an issue with the bathroom, it was awful. And the floor was being mopped, but they weren't doing the wall behind the toilet. So if you have a family member who's there who can push it, and they came in and cleaned it, it's spotless. When you first walk in, the facility is like a five-star hotel. It's beautiful. They have a huge patio area, tables and umbrellas, and they have a lot of activities. They have activities in the day room, they bring in live animals. Every day, there is something. Tomorrow is going to be a church service at 2:15. Today they did something with bingo. Every time I go there they are finishing off an activity, but just to have you take your loved one, push them in the wheelchair out on their patio, it doesn't seem like you're sitting in Valley Stream. It seems like you're sitting out somewhere in the countryside."

"Really impressed with the care here. The administrator was really personable and caring. He sat with me for 3 hours and worked through some of my concerns. Can't beat how much time he spent trying to make my life a little easier, kind of uncomfortable having mom outside my hands after being home with us for so long. Also nurse Kethrine was working late nights with us and was very very impressive as well. Rehab is going well I can tell there are staffed really well. Overall very happy so far"
