"Other than parking, Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare was very nice. The lobby was pleasant. When they took me up to see the floors, the facility was pretty clean. The residents that I met there were pleasant. Sometimes, you tour a nursing home and they look miserable, and they didn't seem that way there. The staff was pleasant. They have an activity calendar for the month and they had several things to do daily. Usually in the summertime because it's warm, they have a barbecue every Wednesday. They have a backyard where the residents can go and that was nice, very peaceful, and very green. The dining area was clean, pretty new, and good-sized, and they had a menu. It impressed me. The staff was very helpful and informative. I felt comfortable. I didn't get a bad vibe."

"We were very satisfied with the care that was provided to my grandmother while she stayed at Ditmas Park. The administrator and staff were all attentive to our needs and were very communicative with us. All around they were a pleasure to deal with and we hugely recommend the facility. "

"My mother-in-law is a resident of Luxor Nursing and Rehab at Mills Ponds. The care is great, she's doing very well there and the staff is very attentive. It's not a large community, but it's very quaint, and she's very happy there. She's adjusting right now, so the nurses take very good care of her in terms of hygiene, she's well-taken care of. I think they could have a little more activities but then again they're just a small community, so I have no complaints about them. A few things need to be corrected like the elevator not working too well. The appearance of the place is fine, she has a nice big room there."

"Marquis Care Center is a great facility. It has a rehab center, long-term care, and 24/7 nursing staff. It's very nice and clean. They're not the best outside, but inside it's OK. The rooms are all on one floor and they're very nice and clean, not over-populated."

"My dad was at Glengariff Healthcare Center for rehab. We were very happy with them. The place was beautiful and clean, and everybody was very helpful and caring. They had entertainment going on, too. It was very good. The rooms were clean, neat, and very nice. The whole facility was very nice, including the dining area. "

"I am writing this note in regards to the good performance and treatment I received from the social worker Kameca. My daily care and medicaid questions were answered and worked out my Maria, Kameca & Spencer. My nurse Sissy helped me out alot and I am thankful for her kindness and good heart. My rooms are large and accommodating with a large dresser and nightstand. Overall staff are friendly caring and attentive. The wound Care nurse Pat is fantastic and knowledgeable. My favorite activity is the Persian entertainment and video hour while we eat our cultural food and have our music. The facility has Shadi the concierge at nights who speaks Persian and visits all the residents and helps me facetime my grandchildren and family members. They have full translation services and shuttle service all around queens long island area."

"Grace Plaza was the last place my husband was in. It was fine, it was cleaner. He was really very sick at that point. The people who took care of him were good. For me, it was a little hard getting there. From the parking lot up to the building itself, it was a bit of a walk up to. His accommodations were good, it was adequate. It was the best that I’ve experienced of the three places he was in. "

"The Osborn is an extremely pleasant assisted living and retirement community. I have visited it a few times and have always been very impressed with the facilities and the people who work there. The Osborn has two libraries, a pool, a chapel, an auditorium, a bank, and several different eateries. I have had lunch and dinner there, and the food is excellent, with many healthy choices for the folks who live there. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. They are very nice at addressing questions and comments promptly. Although I have not been to other assisted living communities, from what I've read online, the Osborn is one of the best in the country. The people who live at the Osborn regularly receive attention from the cheery staff. There are daily activities and weekly music performances. They organize trips into the city and go to the movies, concerts, and even broadway shows. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, they have excellent first aid response teams and access to good medical care. "

"We have decided to get my mother here in Sarah Neuman. The first impression I got was excellent. Well actually not totally excellent because we entered through what I think is their dementia units. There were people just in front of the television. However once we walked through that unit, it is night and day compared to the other facility. There was a bright and airy visitor and patient space. It is built around a very large garden. In effect, there's a three sided building around the garden. The patient's room was bright and large. It looked fresh. The aides looked cheerful and willing to help. We ate in a public space, and the food was good. What is particularly appealing here is they were doing something new. They call it a Small House, but it is a different living concept where they try and get away from the institutional style. It is a small section with 13 or 14 patient rooms. It is arranged around a very large central dining room and open kitchen. They are trying for a home-like atmosphere. But the downside of this idea is the aide spends a little more time in keeping the kitchen spotless instead of caring for the patients. They do seem to have a good medical staff. There is a nurse on the floor during the day. It is a pretty good place, although it is weak on the number and creativity of activities. "

"My wife fell and broke her hip, so she is at United Hebrew Geriatric Center now. We have been very pleased with this rehab facility in terms of general attitude and care of their nurses and aides. Sanitation is excellent. It is very clean. I absolutely recommend this rehab facility. Their food is very good too. Of course, all of the patients would complain about it, but it is really very good. "
