"I want to first start off by saying Thank You to Hopkins for doing what they do!! They exceeded all expectations!! From when you walk into the building everyone is amazing and super nice. The lobby is quite nice. The staff is wonderful. The recreation team always have programs and events going on keeping everyone busy and smiling. The rooms are tidy and neat - housekeeping does a fantastic job of keeping the building clean. If you ever have an issue with anything, the maintenance department has got you covered in a flash! Whenever we had a question about mom - her social worker was always able to help and get us in touch with the right person. Again Thank you thank you! We can't thank you enoughtfor taking care of our Mother!!!"

"A few months ago, I went to the hospital for surgery and decided that Ditmas Park Care Center would be my choice for my post-procedure rehab. The rehab program that the therapists customized for me is enjoyable yet thorough. I'm always motivated to get to my sessions on time because all of the therapists make my day! While we are working together, I always feel ambitious about meeting my personal rehab goals designed for me by my therapists. I am looking forward to walking unassisted again so I can continue doing the things that I love most such as visiting the local senior center, walking my Pomeranian named ”Sugar", and even visiting my favorite casino! I have recently progressed to using a walker, and I am getting closer and closer to achieving my objective. "From the first time I entered their building to visit a resident, I was impressed. My feelings were confirmed by the receptionist and I also met several residents who were raiding the snack machine! They appeared so happy and comfortable with their surroundings. We chose to place our loved one at Park Crescent Healthcare and Rehabilitation and we are very happy we did. "

"For anyone who needs to find QUALITY care for their loved one in the West Essex / northern NJ area, please - for the sake of your loved one AND you - just go straight to Green Hill. My father was neglected and almost died in another area facility. He was transferred to Green Hill and is doing so much better. They know how to deal with dementia patients - with dignity, respect and true medical care, even during this year of pandemic. The staff is considerate and friendly, the food is good, and their standards during the pandemic are at par with hospital level - and I know, because my husband works at a hospital. The facility looks like, and we learned, was a former hotel/respite site during the 1940s. The inside is spacious, and with social distancing, that's a GOOD thing. My father is limited in his activity level due to his dementia, but our visits have been SO encouraging. We almost lost my father, so believe me when I tell you, this facility was divine intervention."

"My sister moved into The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Great Neck. They've been okay. She's only been there for two weeks, and there's no visiting, so it's difficult to ascertain much information 'cause I had to just rely on her. I guess the food isn't too bad because she didn't say that it's not great, and she usually tells me about the food. The staff is friendly enough, and the case manager and social worker were very helpful in getting information to me. We're scheduled for a care meeting on Wednesday. The lobby was clean and orderly. My only issue was I was paying for a private room, and they had to move her to a shared room."

"I have been a resident here at Highfield for over 10 years. I love the staff. My nurse Pat Dougan the head nurse is heaven sent. She is by far the main reason I am such great condition ten years later. Diane from recreation is a nice person and cares for me with her room visits and daily current events. my favorite meal is the oatmeal its " a lewis special". Houskeeping does a great job cleaning daily my floor is always buffed and shining. My best aide is Marvin he is all business and gets the job done. he cares for me with dignity and respect. my room is spacious, clean and large with my own bathroom. the staff are caring and courteous especially Pat Dougan. Humberto is an excellent therapist. he keeps my arms and legs strong with PT and OT. Janel from PT also works with me and does walking routines. I am thankful that staff offered to help and give me haircuts during the pandemic. I take pride in how my hair looks and they keep me well groomed and looking clean. Latoya activities staff comes around on weekends and offers additional programming. Mr. Jack is the head staff nurse and is pleasant and smart. its been a great 10 years i am looking forward to many more in good health and happiness."

"My mother moved into Little Neck Care Center. It is sort of a rehab/nursing facility. I like them. They are very nice people. They seem to be very competent, and they are very attentive. Her room is nice and clean. I have no problems with the cleanliness or their communication. They provide information."

"My mother is at Parker Jewish Institute, and everything is very good. It's very clean, and they attend to everything but they're just understaffed. They seem to be the most honest, and they were the ones who said they can't make promises. Everybody from the parking attendant up is so friendly and helpful, and anytime I make a phone call, I can get in touch with somebody. There was no lapse in any kind of care even when they'll be in a transition and kept me in the loop. They kept you informed every step of the way so you never feel like you are left out. There are a lot of activities each day like music, games, and coloring, and somebody comes up and does the women's nails. There's something every day going on. It was very hard for my mother to go to these things in the beginning, but they didn't push her until she got used to their ways of getting her to do it. They knew how to handle them. "

"This facility should not have a 5 star rating but instead should have at least a 6 star rating. The building and furnishings are old but the care is far more than anyone can expect from any nursing facility. My wife was there for about a little over a month and the staff cared for her as they would for their own mother. They kept her very clean, patiently hand fed her when she was unable to feed herself, and assured she was safe throughout the night, constantly checking on her and taking every physical precaution necessary to insure a safe restful sleep. When she passed away our entire family surrounded her along with the aids and nurses that took care of her. There wasn't a dry eye among us including the staff. I met the owner and am convinced that he is the reason for the quality of care that they deliver. If ever I know of anyone needing these type of services I would highly recommend The New Glen Oaks Nursing Home for outstanding care and compassion. This might be one of the best of it's kind in the country. "

"We are all living in a crazy world right now. After 4 weeks of this pandemic, nursing homes are under attack because they don't have enough supplies and staff. NO ONE has enough of either right now. I, like so many other family member, are losing it because we haven't seen our loved one in so many weeks! I also know, however, that everything humanly possible is being done to protect my mother and all of the residents of Ozanam Hall. I know that the staff and the nuns are working like crazy to keep the virus from spreading. My siblings and I talk to our Mom every day and have done some FaceTime calls. I just want everyone there to know how much I appreciate their hard work and dedication. They, just like the doctors and nurses that we see every night on TV, are putting their health and lives at risk.... just by going to work! You are all in my thoughts and prayers every minute of the day. I think of all the wonderful people who keep that building running.... Peggy in the 8th floor dining room, who always has a smile on her face and says a kind word to every resident as they enter the dining room. Anna, in housekeeping, who goes out of her way each day to talk to the residents ... all while doing her difficult job to keep that place immaculate. The CNA's.... Sharon, Ammaprete, Eve, Donna.... and all of the others on the 8th floor....you are all wonderful and I pray for your safety and the safety of your families.
