"The staff are caring, supportive, compassionate and giving. The rooms are large and the entire facility is clean. The food and good and plentiful. Despite the difficulties due to the pandemic, the staff has provided activities and materials for me to self direct on my own. I go to the lounge and play games with some of the other residents here. My family visits in person and through the computer. I am very happy that I chose Sands Point as my permanent home. "

"I toured the Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. It was good and very respectful, nice, kind, and clean. The dining area was good. They keep the residents occupied with events every week and try to make it so that everyone is comfortable, which is very helpful. The staff member who gave the tour was very kind."

"I went to Belair Care Center after a total knee replacement. I couldn't have been happier with my stay there! The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and gives you a warm feeling. They have a little restaurant you can go to for lunch (that has a beautiful outside patio). I played bingo, did art therapy and even got visited by their therapy dog, Chloe. I give physical therapy an A+! "

"Right now, my mom is at Park Crescent Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for rehab. They are helping her with speech, and they are helping her to walk. I was there for one of the sessions, and I got her motivated a little to take a walk and stand and stuff. I like them. They're very pleasant, and they keep me posted. They call me if they give her any kind of medicine. My mom was dehydrated, and they called me about that. She has a UTI right now, and they called and told me that because they did urine and blood work on her. They don't just do things, they call me and get my permission to allow them to do whatever. They're very good. They're very caring. I've even noticed that with the other patients there. I like the place. That's why I want to try to keep my mom there as long-term care. I'm very pleased with the place. So far, they have been excellent to me as far as taking care of my mother, and I'm very, very fussy about my mom and how to take care of her. But they're very nice, very thoughtful, and caring. My mother was sleeping over in her wheelchair, and I went to straighten her up, and they said, 'No, no, no, no. We'll do that.' They don't even let me touch my mother. I can't even roll her from her room to the lunchroom where they have lunch, they have to do it. They do everything. It's nice very facility. They're clean. They keep my mom clean. Sometimes I bring my mom food in because she won't eat. She doesn't like it. I looked at it and I could tell it's not that great. The room my mom is in is nice and clean. It's warm and comfortable in her room. She now has a roommate, but it's nice. Right now, I have no complaints about them. The staff members are excellent. I came in here, and I had been crying and they had been good to me, calming me down and everything. In terms of activities, my mom doesn't care about doing anything, but I did get her a little bit interested in it. We played Chinese bingo, and I thought it was fun. It was my first time playing it. She got into it, too, and she seemed to like it. But they were like, 'If she doesn't want to play, she doesn't have to.'"

"It was my mom's first choice. It's a much older facility and a little larger scale than the others. The people and the staff were very friendly. They have satellite dining areas and a main dining room. I ate food in the main dining room once and it was pretty tasty. There was entertainment going on, and the people were having a lot of fun."

"South Mountain Rehab is nice, and I think the staff is nice and very concerned. They have patience with the family. They are nice and do the rehabilitation for their client. They try to have fun with them. So, I find them good. I wish my mother could stay there. The rooms are nice. It is two patients to a room. The facility is very nice too. They have different activities for them. They have people from the outside come in. They have different amusement forms. They sing. They have gospel and churches. They also do things outside, but maybe they can do a little more outside activities. "

"My mom is in rehabilitation at Holliswood Care Center. My mom has been there for two weeks, and she really seems to enjoy being there with the other patients. She likes it even more because for me, it's about a 20-minute walk or I can hop a cab for 2 or 3 minutes to get to where she is. It is a very well-kept facility, which is very good. It made me feel very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and willing to help you in any way. It was another good point for me as well. It seems to be a good place thus far, so I have no complaints at all. My mom is in a room with two other patients. They have their own individual flat-screen TV and things like that. She can just walk right down the hall to the nurse's station and make a phone call to whoever she wants. She was comfortable, relaxed, and not worried. It was really a good fit. I literally talk to my mom a couple of times a day, and I always ask her really pointed questions, like "How's the staff? How are they treating you? Is anyone hurting you?". And all of the questions come back, "Everybody is fine. Everyone's treating me well. No one's hurting me. They show good respect and stuff like that for the senior citizens." Two hours of her day are spent at the gym with the staff. They do regular exercises, like walking up and down the stairs. They actually have a full room with various exercises, like lifting little weight and walking on a tiny treadmill to get their strength back. Beyond that, there are other activities as well that they can engage in with the other patients. Even when my brother and sister go visit, I ask how my mom is, and she's fine. My mom enjoys her meals."

"My mom was at Hollis Park Manor. She was there for rehab. They were small facilities. Most of the nurses were nice, and they took care of them. It took a while for my mom to get acclimated to them, and them to her, but they did eventually. She enjoyed their food, and they had lots of activities that she enjoyed. She mostly played bingo, and they would win money, so she enjoyed that. The staff members were good. I wasn't crazy about my mother's room because they could have kept the place a little better. That part was an issue with them. It was old and not well kept. My mom was sharing the room with three other people, it was like a four in a room, so we had issues with that. When my mom first came in she was in a single room, so that room was nice. The atmosphere was good. There were people who walked around and talked to each other (the ones that could), and they would socialize, so it was a nice atmosphere. They had people come in and play music, and they had social gatherings, like they would come down and have snacks and stuff like that, so they had some good activity."

"This living facility is awesome. They have such a great program for the residents to meet with high school students from The Mary Louis Academy and build a bond every Thursdays throughout the entire school year. On these visiting trips, the residents would participate in playing bingo, interacting with the students and it was mostly grandmothers and grandfathers. Usually, the grandmothers were more chatty, expectantly. The staff was courteous and cared for the residents, food was okay, environment was good. I had a chance to speak with numerous residents, we painted the grandmother's nails and made them feel pretty. Sometimes when your living in a facility for various reasons, you kind of just want to talk to people and get to know someone else or have someone make you feel good about yourself, whether it's being proud talking about your family or what not; that is what we provided them with, company and companionship. This is how I always envisioned what a nursing home should feel like. They should hold activities for the residents to feel more involved in society and not just the packed away, put them out of your thoughts, because they are old. I felt the residents were living comfortably and the staff was always nearby to assist the residents. The experience was overall friendly, inviting, safe, and warm. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone and everyone. "

"My mom is at Hillside Manor. It's close to transit and it's on route. They have activities and my mom likes them. We chose it because it was close to home. The staff are nice and caring. Her room is clean and spacious. The place is lively, and the people are always doing something. It's like an apartment building, but there's stuff to do as they have different activities. I have not tried the food, but my mom says it's okay. Their dining room is nice, too. They have concerts, movie nights, game nights, game days, and a lot of varied activities for the residents."

"My husband is in Highland Care. So far, my experience with them has been very good. I am very happy with it. I go there every day during different times of the day, and I am very happy with what I have seen. The staff has been very helpful to me and to my husband. My husband has his own room, and it is fairly big. I have seen the food, and I like it. I have not tried it, but I have seen it, and I like how it appears on his tray. I don't know what activities they have because he is there for his rehab. They do have activities, but I have not attended any of them. They have been very helpful to me. They answer all of my questions. If I have any concerns, they take care of them. "
