"We have used aides from the Forest Hills Home Instead for over five years for my mother. That length of time should tell you upfront how pleased we are. Initially aides were needed for just part of the day. As my mother needed more care as she got older, Beverly worked with us to expand the hours. Now we have four aides who work 12-hour shifts around the clock. We live over 1000 miles away and would not be able to keep Mom in her home as she wants without the wonderful women who take care of her. (We have met all of the current aides during pre-Covid trips to see Mom, as well as communicate with them on the phone, and can honestly say we like each one.) Beverly and her office have worked with us over the years to minimize new people when an aide is sick or going to be on vacation since changes make Mom very anxious. As sometimes happens, if my mother just doesn't like a person, that has also been resolved quickly. If I'm concerned about something, I call or email and Beverly decides with us what action to take. If an aide is concerned about a change in my mother's health, Beverly lets us know. She even called us when the pandemic became bad in NYC to tell us what precautions they were having the aides take. Communication is easy and prompt. I have no reservations about marking five stars."
