"Ditmas Park Rehab or as the people here say "Ditmas", is a great facility. My family member was here over the last few months and we are all very happy. Rehab: The rehab downstairs is unbelievable. The therapists are patient and understanding. The progress my loved one made was honestly not in our slightest dreams. Nurses: The nursing staff are top - notch. Medications are given on time and with a smile. Meals: The food here is actually quite good. We are always offered complimentary guest trays when we come visit. As much as people think that all rehab center/hospital food tastes the same, this doesn't. Administration/Social Workers: Very accessible. The administrator and his assistant do daily rounds and have a good grip over what goes on on every floor. There is a lot of construction going on because they are expanding into a brand new facility with other services. Don't let that turn you away. We are really happy with the care here and would recommend this to everyone!!"

"I moved my mother to their assisted living. I am impressed with the care that they give and the amount of staff. It is a nice and pretty environment. They staff has a positive, friendly attitude. She has a single room that is a lot larger than any of the other places that I visited. They have a good of selection of quality food, and the dining room is attractive. They have religious services, holiday parties, bingo, exercise activities, current events, classes, meetings, and arts & crafts. They can improve on reminding people of the activities. They have a calendar, but people have a hard time following it. Aside from that, I think it is as good as it is going to be for her. "

"My mother is in Lincoln Park Renaissance Rehab & Nursing. It's excellent. I'm very happy with them. It's very clean. The staff is awesome. They take very good care of my mother, who is hard to take care of. They're always friendly and always smiling. They have little concerts, they play games, they have art classes, and Zumba. It's very active. There are a few things every day. My mother said the food is very good. The choices are good, and it tastes good."

"The facilities were very nice and updated. The outside was also nice, but more parking is definitely needed. The staff were generally nice, but some were not as knowledgable as they should have been about my grandma's condition. The amenities were nice, there was even a hair salon on the 2nd floor where residents can get their hair done. The eating area was also updated and bright and cheery. Overall, a very nice facility! "A beautiful facility with staff that seem to love what they do, and are very friendly and helpful. When you go to them with an issue, it is addressed. The bakery is amazing and is a nice place for family and loved ones to take a break and feel as if they are in a cafe somewhere. There are many amenities offered. "

"My husband is at Schaffer for a week now, it's clean, but it's an older facility. There's 2 to a room, but it's quite spacious, quite large, and it has very large windows, and each person has his own closet. It has a very large bathroom, it's nice, and you don't feel crowded at all. The food is terrible, so I always bring food. The staff is responsive, but not overly friendly. They have activities, but not enough to interest people."

"My mother was at United Hebrew in December 2017 for rehab and pain management , my family has had much experience with other facilities like this, as we went through this previously with my dad. This facility outshined any other we have been involved with. My mother was treated with dignity and respect and the staff were true professionals- she responded so well to rehab that she was able to get home in time to spend Christmas with us. United Hebrew is clean and the staff cares about the patience and residents. She was attended to quickly and as stated was allowed her dignity, which for a senior citizen is most important! We highly recommend United , we know the other alternatives and they cant compare."

"My mother's been in Glen Island Center for 12 years now. The staff is good and they take good care of my mom. They keep her clean, they feed her properly, and give her showers twice a week. They have people who come in and play music in her room. They have church every Sunday, choir, and even live band. However, they can do a little more cleaning. They could buy brand new furniture and put better furniture in there. Also, they need more CNAs per person because 1 CNA to 16 to 20 patients is a lot. "

"My wife put her husband at Bayberry Care Center a number of years ago, so I was familiar with its existence. I checked it out to see if it might be still up to standards, and I thought it was good. I thought they looked OK when I first got there. It’s a small facility; they only have 60 beds. They were familiar with my father-in-law having been there 20 odd years earlier. The staff seemed to be nice. I thought they were trying to be very good about supporting my wife and taking care of her in terms of food and making sure that the medications were all delivered at the appropriate times. I thought the food was quite good, and the rooms were a medium size. They had a lot of activities: they’d have music, and they’d have speakers. They’d have group sessions where they could sing or watch TV for some special programs. "

"I was able to visit years ago when my mother was alive. She finally had to go to skilled nursing care rather than assisted living at the Wartburg. She was able to remain home with community Medicaid and a healthcare worker from the Wartburg association. But then her medical condition declined so precipitously that at the end she had to go as an in-patient. It is an excellent place. It is related to the Lutheran Church. I know the head chaplain there very well. I've known her for many years as a colleague because I'm a clergyman too. They have independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, rehab, and an Alzheimer's unit. I think they are in the process of constructing a whole new building which will be for rehab. Everything is very fine. There is tremendous attention to the needs of the patients. There is also a strong sense of the faith and the church there. For example they house two communities of retired Dominican sisters in their assisted living complex, so that says an awful lot about that. "
