There is no phone in patients room When you call receptionists transfers you to the second floor to a phone that will ring and rarely be answered. I've gone 4 weeks without reaching the patient. Patient says the food is terrible. Sometimes they get the medicine wrong.

Deplorable staff and conditions. My loved one has gone through pneumonia 2x and a bed sore. The staff continued to refer to open wounds on her legs as “skin tears.” Lack of diaper changes and had to sit in her own urine. When visiting her during an off hour this past week, we found her laying in bed, unable to breathe and her chest rattling, with an entire tray of food laying in front of her, all alone. Come to find her oxygen level was 80 with no medical attention/ oxygen. The nurse had said it was 94. She would have died had we not found her and called 911.

Rooms are dirty. They have mice and water bugs. Need I say more?

How this place has not been shut down by the State is beyond me. From the moment my mother was admitted to the day she was discharged nothing went right - the administration is incompetent! I feel extremely bad for those who are long-term.

My friend is a patient in the rehab section. So far she’s losing weight, and why? The food is absolutely horrible she won’t eat it. Too many times they move her phone and she unable to reach it for when family call. They must be understaffed as she has to wait for assistance when needing to go to the bathroom. Like other hospitals and nursing. Homes I can’t understand why they can’t give edible food. Many people eat healthy and it tastes good. What a waste of food and money to have all that food thrown away.

My friend has been there for over a year they give him a problem to empty urinal and change colostomy bag the food is terrible and they barely want to charge his phone Every timeI call they don't anwer phone I heard a staff member arguing with him she was very nasty and does not wear a name tag. Due to pandemic there are no visits it is cruel punishment not to even charge the phone so they can communicate.

Rude. Never answer phones at nursing stations. My uncle could be dead and I wouldn’t even know. Always have the sweetest receptionists/ office staffed but nurses and supervisors are disgusting towards people.

The nursing staff , recreational, physical therapy, kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance staffs are all wonderful. It is the staff in charge, like the Nursing Supervisors andI other administrative staff that are horrible. They don't follow through, they take extremely long times to add new prescriptions to our charts, they duck and ignore the residents when they request something they have a right to ask for. I am sick and tired of being treated like an annoyance. It is difficult enough being in this situation, having staff that make us feel bad about being here is unacceptable. I would never put my loved one here. We are treated like babies. I am someone who can advocate for myself, I feel sorry for those that can not. Nurses like Brendon, are a danger to the patients. He never gets the medications correct, and if I were someone who didin't know what my meds were, I would have been dead already.

The nurses there are very rude and really lazy they don't answer the patients bell when they ring it's happened about 20times already to my elderly friend I have been on the phone taking to her when it has happened about 5times when we have been talking when they do come to see why you rang the bell like when my elderly friend wanted a painkillers or a drink the nurse said no it's not her job wtf is that I'm not lying I actually rang the cente straight away and complained to the superviser then the nurse apogised and gave her the painkillers I would not recommend this place the nurses don't care about there job or patients there is only 3 nice lady nurses there that are very thoughtful and caring to the patients

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the most unorganized place I've ever seen. They don't care about the residents one bit, they are greedy and only care about getting paid. All the workers hate their job and it's reflected in their work! Disgusting place not worth one penny ! I am a doctor and have witnessed many medical errors in their care. I had my mother in their for 1 month before I had to take her out. I warn you all to not send your loved ones here.

My mother's been in Glen Island Center for 12 years now. The staff is good and they take good care of my mom. They keep her clean, they feed her properly, and give her showers twice a week. They have people who come in and play music in her room. They have church every Sunday, choir, and even live band. However, they can do a little more cleaning. They could buy brand new furniture and put better furniture in there. Also, they need more CNAs per person because 1 CNA to 16 to 20 patients is a lot.
