"I stayed at Fort Washington Health & Rehab Center for 3 weeks after having bilateral knee replacement. The Center was clean, if I had a problem I would let Management know and the problem was taken care of immediately. The entire staff was fantastic, from Management to the GNAs. I feel in love with my GNAs, they were very helpful and I looked forward to seeing them and talking to them. The physical therapy department was GREAT!!! I went back to visit, the staff remembered me and it was good to see them. Whenever I ride by the facility, I think about my stay there. I highly recommend this facility."

"My mother was at United Medical Nursing; it was nice, and I chose it again. The facility is real clean; the other nursing home she was in when you go in the smell just knocked you down, this one had no smell. They clean her up and have her dressed when I wanted to take her out, and they call me real quick as soon as something happens. "

"My aunt is in Carolyn Boone Lewis Heath Care Center for a couple of months now for her therapy and I am very pleased with the facility. It is clean. My aunt likes the food and she eats all of it. The nurses and the staff are very informative. If you ask them question, they will give you answers. Their administration there is really good too. "

"This facility is a hospital, rehab and nursing home that is part of the Specialty Hospital Center. The location, although convenient and close to the highway, is not good; it's a high crime area, although the facility does a good job with security, with a guard and sign-in policy. It is very clean. There are a couple floors of nursing care, which is a plus, since it's small enough for residents to get individualized attention"”and visitors don't get overwhelmed or lost. The rooms"”a combination of shared and private"”are of average size. This has more of a hospital feel than many other places"”and there are pros and cons to this: There is a good staff to resident ratio, and the place is run in a very organized way, but the facility itself feels a bit cold and institutional. The staff members are friendly and professional. And the administration is very hands on"”and involved and interested in residents' care. Because Hadley is able to accommodate residents with higher medical needs, such as ventilator care, there are few activities offered. Some of the nurses I know swear by the food here"”and actually look forward to eating in the cafeteria. It's in a separate little area"”and there are specials highlighted daily. Medicaid is accepted. "

"My husband has been a resident for a couple of years and especially through the pandemic. Teamwork is a definite characteristic that I would use to describe our time there. It takes the whole team for success. Within the team, we have had some favorites who helped ease the stress of just going through changes and challenges without them I don't know what I would have done. I am preparing for the day when my husband returns home this year and have learned how to take good care of him from the team which includes the other residents. My husband has a new best friend their and that means a lot to me because during the pandemic I have not been able to visit much except through the glass windows or by zoom. I am able to bring special things to him from his home team me and his cat Champion. Thank you for making time their comfortable especially now with the new management. "

"I'm in Deanwood Rehab and Wellness Center for rehab. It's been good. Everybody's very nice. I have two to three therapists, and they do exercises and different things with me every day. The food is alright, but sometimes it's not here before it gets cold."

"My mom moved to the Future Care Capital Region. Most of the staff is great, but there are a couple of staff we've had some issues with. I feel the facility is great, top-notch, clean, and everything. It's state-of-the-art rehab stuff in there and very spacious. It's a newer facility. I think it's only 5 or 6 years old. The food looks good. I think it should be a little bit more nutritious. My mom's not able to engage in a lot of them, but I've seen the activities and the list of things they have. They have movies and games. For value, if I had to pay that out of pocket, I'd probably be a little bit disappointed. My mom's working with an occupational therapist, physical therapist, and speech therapist and they're all awesome. They're also great and the nurses are great."

"My mother was admitted to Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab Center for therapy rehabilitation. The staff there can only be described as superb, professional and compassionate. It was an outstanding experience and I would recommend this facility to anyone interested in placing their family member for rehab services. "

"Woodbine has 24-hour care, and they are approved for Medicaid. The staff was very nice, attentive, and understanding to my mother’s needs. "

"Collington Episcopal Life Care Community had a nice swimming pool. I used to do my water aerobics there. There were big areas where people walked. I had lunch there a couple of times. The food was very delicious. The people there were amenable and friendly. It was a well-maintained establishment. "

"I visited Regency Care of Arlington and they gave me a tour. It looks like a very open place, and they have each resident in one room, so it's separated. It's not like there are two patients in one room, but only one patient per room. It looks clean to me and spacious, and the person who gave us the tour was nice. She was very pleasant and answered all the questions we asked. The place is clean and private."

"My mother is at Waldorf Center, and it's been very good. She was there after her hospitalization, and we requested she return there after she went back to the hospital. They get her up each day, help her bathe and dress, and she does physical therapy twice a day. They don't just leave her sitting there, and I think the care is very good. Now we're applying for long-term care. They do a lot of things in the activity room like bingo, crafts, watching movies, religious services, and music. It's an older building, but it's clean, and well kept up."
