"The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very caring for here especially when she started to really get worse off. The environment its self was very clean and bright. I talked to many residence and all of them were extremely happy with the care they were being given and the moral support from the staff. I have had many dinners at the home and the food was always great and healthy. It is fairly centrally located and therefor easy to get to. they also provide trips to the residents and family, things like bowling and such. they have many activities to do around the home. they have board games and bingo and all the things loved by the current older generation. I would surely recommend this to any family going through the tough time of finding a place for parents or grandparents to stay. They will make the process easy and you will know your family member is in good hands. "

"We transferred my grandmother to the memory care unit of Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center a couple of months ago. The staff is extremely caring. They individualized her care and put her first. They have an activity center and activity assistants in the memory care unit, with activities directed at people with dementia. So, it gets them involved and it keeps them out of their rooms. My grandmother, she's rarely in her room now. She found some friends, so she's active socially there now. I know when they do the snacks and the coffee, she loves sitting with a couple of other ladies, having coffee and cookies, and they would kind of gossip as friends do. She has a shared room but there's plenty of room to be able to have her bed and a recliner, and then of course a dresser for her clothes and a television. So, it's kind of like a small efficiency apartment. They have a restroom in the room. Even though it's small, there's still plenty of room to put what she needs. The office manager who handles the financial side has been very difficult to deal with. When you're putting your family member in an Alzheimer's unit, that's hard enough, much less having to deal with someone who's not very kind at times. Besides the office manager, the staff is very kind. The administrator, I have spoken to him before, and he was extremely kind. I think they need to work on some customer service education for that particular occupation of the business office, and understand how to handle people who are in this situation for the first time. Most people don't understand how Medicaid and Medicare work and they need guidance. "

"My father was a resident at Glen Oaks in the Memory Care Unit during the last year of his life from 2007 - 2008. I can't imagine a better environment for him or any person suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's. The staff was attentive and caring, and welcomed our family whenever we visited. He was attended to with extraordinary tenderness. We are thankful to them and for them. "

"If you don't mind underhanded staff, having to fix issues that they caused with Medicaid every couple of months, and dirty surroundings then this is the place for you! I am trying to move my dad oyt of there. The care is substandard. They don't call and let you know when your loved one fell, much less send them out to the hospital. My dad had to deal with pain over night. They called early the next evening to inform me that my dad was on his way to the hospital. After an er visit and xrays it was determined that he had dislocated his shoulder. He also chipped the upper arm bone. He had to go to a specialist for a while over it. He sat there in the nursing home for 24 hours in that condition. He was in pain. They only called when they had already sent him out in an ambulance. I there are two counties between me and my dad. I will not ever put him in a nursing home that lacks reviews. I will make surprise visits before I commit to the new place. Miller's of Middletown smells horrible and is anything but clean. Don't take my word for it. Go check for your self. You will learn that it is everything I claim and more. They have been investigated so many times by adult protective services that I am amazed that they are still in operation. "

"While visiting this facility I found it to be very clean. The staff greated me upon my arrival and directed me to where I was looking to go. I was very impressed with both the people and the facility and have been very happy with their care for my family member. I would highly recemend this facility for anyone looking for a great place for a loved one. The place has a great track record. Someone mentioned they are employee owned so I will look into what exactly that means. I always see the same people there and they always wave and smile and seem happy to be there. The director of the facility has taken the time to introduce himself to me as well which I found very impressive. I often see him walking around and talking to the other residents there. "

"My father is staying in Cardinal Care Strategies. It seems to be a good place, it's very clean. The people seem to be attentive and sincere in wanting to help. It's a good place for him. I haven't tried the food, but he says it's good, and he likes it. For me, it's way out of price, but all these places are so it's no one in particular's fault. At this time, everything seems to be kosher and he's happy. They're good to him and they seem to like him as well, so he's a good fit there."

"I was brought here December 2022. I had been in another facility and had a very bad experience. From the first few days I was treated like a person. The level of care I receive is fantastic. I get three showers every week, the staff is excellent, everyone is at the minimum a CNA, even management, the nurses are amazing and very helpful. I have a great room with my own paintings on the walls. I am at home here. Even most of the food is good. I could live out my life here and I would be happy. Plus, I’m taking part in the activities several days a week. We play bingo, arts and crafts, church services, occasional outings, just so much to keep us busy and feeling fulfilled. Our physical and occupational therapy services are some of the best I’ve ever experienced. "

"My grandmother was a resident at Countryside and I cannot say enough, how great their staff is! She was a new dialysis patient and Countryside's therapy team did a great job working around her chair time as well as the care team providing support to our family. Countryside's team truly made my grandmother feel apart of their family. We've been told they are opening an in house dialysis center and should she need any rehab, she said Countryside is the only way to go! "

"My mother is in Parker Health Care for rehab. So far, they've been very good. The rehab part of it is excellent, they are with them every day doing their exercises, and taking care of them. I think what we're seeing there is what I've heard about other places. It seems like it takes them a long time to help them to get to the bathroom; it could be a staff shortage or that they're just overburdened right now. The food is excellent, the people are very caring, and we're really happy with the services there."

"This facility is completely changed from its former self of just 2 years ago. Glenn is the new administrator. He's considered by many of my friends in the medical field as the best in the county. He has completely turned the place around. From a one star rating, it will soon be a 4 or 5 star. Many of the workers are still there from the past, but many were replaced if they weren't doing their jobs. The food is great, the caring is there from everyone I've met. I highly recommend it. My 95-year old mom lives there. They are finishing up a half-million dollar remodeling of the entire facility. One wing of rooms is even single occupancy now. "

"My mom was in Signature HealthCARE and they helped her immensely. I was impressed with the rehab. They were amazing, and the staff was really good. The only issues we had were with some of the nurses, but everyone else down to the ladies in the kitchen were out and involved, helping everyone, and I didn't once say, "That's not my job". It's in a nice area, very well-kept, and it's one of the cleanest facilities I've ever been in. They totally took care of her."

"Morrison Woods Health Campus seems congested, but it appears to be clean. The outdoors was nice. They had an area where residents could go outside if they wanted to. They have a physical therapy department, an activities department, and a beauty salon, but they did not have anything available where you would have a private room as they were full. The staff was alright. They were nice. Everybody just seemed like they were just extremely busy. They had patios and gardens and I saw someone that even had a dog. So, you can take your dog outside, too."

"Bethany Pointe Health Campus is fairly new. They have separate villas for independent living, and I like that. We know several people who have been there over the years. They seem to get good care and like it, I base a lot of my opinion on that. It's pretty close to where I live now. They offer all levels of care from independent up to nursing home care. When we went there, they were unaware that we were there for a tour, and had no one prepared to give us a tour. We waited a little bit, and they put something together. The staff was friendly considering they were kind of caught off guard by us showing up. They were very welcoming. It didn't have a nursing home odor."

"My mother had an aneurysm and has very little short term memory, so she needs to be in an assisted living facility. They staff at Westminster are wonderful, they check on her daily and make sure she is taking her medication, something she would forget to do if not for them. She seems to really enjoy the area as well, they have fitness areas and planned activities. That is wonderful for her, because she needs structure. She also craves independence, and it's wonderful that she can pick and choose what she wants to do. The only downside to an assisted living facility is the cost. My mother has a studio apartment that her monthly allotment barely covers. It would be nice to see an affordable assisted living place around here, but i do understand that there is a premium involved with having nursing and other staff around all the time. "

"My Aunt is at Pinehurst, which is a nursing home that is located in Centerville IN. Pinehurst isn't a bad place; they take good care of my Aunt; however it feels more like a hospital than a home. When you walk in you walk down a hallway with no color or anything that would attract a person's attention. It even smells like a hospital. I don't ever see them do any games or "fun time". I have had dinner with my aunt a few times and the food isn't the best. There isn't a big verity of food to choose from. Again it seems that the people who live there are more like in a hospital than a facility in which they live. But like I said they do provide and take great care of all the people that live there and I guess in the end that is what matters. "
