"Grandmother was recently at Hamilton Trace after a stroke (may-july). Therapist and activities went above and beyond to get her back living independently as well as making sure she was active in some of the community activities and holiday events offered. I haven't seen my grandmother that full of life in quite some time. Very pleased with all the amenities. Will definitely be back in the future if needed. "

"I was very impressed with American Village, actually. What I like about it was, first of all, the land on which it is built was beautiful. I mean, you would look out a window, for instance, and you would see a long lawn and water, and then the moon. It is really built on a beautiful piece of property, which to me is important in my old age; I want to be closer to nature or to tranquility. We were also shown two of the larger apartments there, and they were very lovely. I thought that would be a wonderful thing. "

"Our experience with moving my mom to Harbour Manor & The Lodge has been fantastic. They were very helpful and very friendly, and they did a lot of work on their end to help make things happen. So it's been very good. The apartment is fairly large, it's like 500 square feet of living space, kitchen area, a separate bedroom, and bathroom. Probably the thing that stands out the most about it is, it has a lot of closets, which is nice. As far as amenities, the building has a pub or coffee shop kind of area. It has a movie theater, it has a game room and it's very nice. She's happy with it, and I don't think she was as happy in previous places that she's been, so that's good."

"My mother moved into Majestic Care of Carmel. They do a great job of securing the facility and taking care of the residents and keeping it clean. They're very caring there. When she has needs, they respond very well. The staff has been great. They're very responsive. When there's a particular need, they act immediately. They're wonderful. She only gets meal service on a very limited basis. She only gets it as she needs it. Most of the time, she's fixing her own meals in her room because she has a full kitchen. They do specific holiday gatherings and events, and games. They have had entertainers that come and perform. And so, they've been very pleased with the entertainers and with the activities."

"I went to Spring Mill Meadows. The lady who set me on a tour was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. She gave me all the information I needed. I liked her, and I liked the place that she showed me. They call it the garden home. It was kind of hidden behind the nursing home. I liked the side of town that it's on, but I don't like it being right in such a busy commercial area. It was right across from St. Vincent Hospital, which is a major hospital. It was not in a residential area. It was in a very deep commercial area and that bothered me. I didn't like that. There are a lot of good things about it, but there are some bad things because they didn't have an open apartment that I can move into right now. They had one that was empty, but it needed a lot of work on it and she wasn't sure when they were going to do the work, maybe another couple of months. They needed carpets replaced and stuff like that. I just don't think it's going to work out for me, but I liked the woman who gave me the tour, and there are a lot of good things about it. They didn't have a lot of amenities. The staff said that I could use some of the amenities that are in the nursing home, like meals. I can order meals and have them delivered from the nursing home, and there's a small charge."

"Our experience with Copper Trace was great. They're wonderful people. Everybody there has a single room, so that's nice, and that makes it easier for having my wife meet somebody new and make new friendships. They have their own dining room for the memory care folks, and she always eats in the dining room. They have room in the wing of the nursing home where they can walk if they want, and they have a rehabilitation place or physical therapy room that's very nice. It's three miles from my house so it's a great location. It's a very large facility, they have a lot of assisted living quarters, and it sits by itself on a big piece of land. So it's not in the way of any residential areas or anything. It's a very nice location. My two sister-in-laws have been to the facility and they said that the food is excellent. The aesthetics and looks on the outside and the inside is immaculate. It costs a significant amount per month."

"Everything is great getting at Zionsville Meadows, but when she got in, they’re not fixing things as they said they would before she moved in. Despite that, I would still recommend this facility. "

"We had a tour of Springhurst Health Campus. The place was beautiful, and they were very involved with the residents. They make sure they get out and do lots of stuff. The person who gave the tour was very nice. They had amenities like a gym, salon, and a game room. They also had a nice outdoor space. It's located very close to everything, to the town, hospitals, restaurants, and shopping. The place itself was very clean and very nice."

"I went to Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. The staff was excellent. They were helpful all the time. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and very nice. The food was nice, and it looked good. They had very nice dining areas. They had one for transition care unit, and they had another larger one for whoever wanted to go there. They had activities like cross word puzzles, magazines, TVs, movies, and general areas if they wanted to get together. I liked it because they had 24 wait staff and a nurse that visited the people in general, who was very helpful and nice. "

"Dee, Kodi and everyone at Brandywine are wonderful and caring people. They have helped and provided guidance to me in helping admit a family member that transferred from another state, but when we had an unfortunate accident with my mother in law, they stepped up to help again and made the admission, rehab and care an easy transition. What an incredible group of people and a great facility in our community! "

"Sugar Creek was very nice, and the staff was friendly. The building was very old and remodeled. Most of the patients seemed to be happy and in a good mood. They had an activity coordinator and they take the residents on field trips, to the stores, or out to eat. There's plenty of things for them to do. They feed them well, and my brother is putting weight back on. The nurses and finance managers are great but the social workers not so much. My brother is there on a special arrangement with Medicaid."

"We have used Morristown rehab services twice before for mom, and we’re extremely pleased with the services. With her dementia it was something that, when we told her we were going to do it, excited her because she could remember parts of being there. It just worked out well; the location is good, and the doctor that she was seeing from the hospital goes to that facility and works with the patients there, and that was another reason we looked to that facility. They have made it as friendly and as easy on us as possible. It’s very hard to see your loved one take a turn for the worse like that, and they made it as painless as possible for us to make the decision to put her there. They were very helpful. The facility is not new, but it is clean, neat, well-maintained, and excellent. When you walk in it feels very homey. The second thing that really convinced us is that everyone we talked to has just bent over backwards to make us feel welcomed and reassured us that she would be well cared for. The other day, she had a really bad day, and they were on the phone calling us, telling us what was going on. They said that they had called the doctor and told us what the doctor had responded. They have just been great about calling us on our cell phones and keeping us posted if there is anything they are concerned about. They have bingo, and they’ve talked to the activities director about trying to find someone to work with her to crochet, as she used to crochet for 60 years and she can’t remember. Little things like that really make you feel good. "

"Westminster was very nice. The receptionist was very professional, and they had a very nice lobby. They gave me a tour of the dementia area, in which each room had a shower, and it was out of this world. There weren't any people sitting out in the hall; they were all busy doing something. It was the most outstanding of the eight homes I visited. "

"I want to say how wonderful staff was while my mom was there. You couldn't ask for better and caring staff. They were very helpful and caring to the family and mother till she took her last breath. Even after she passed they made sure the family was taken care of. I would definitely recommend this place for a loved one who has Dementia or Alzheimer's."

"I had an accident at work and fell and broke my neck. After weeks in the hospital and in the Rehab Hospital. When I discharged from the Rehab hospital I went to Kindred -Wildwood. The care there was excellent. All the nurses and c.n.a.'s were friendly and joked around with me which made time go fast. Activities gave me crossword puzzles and movies to help time pass by.The therapy there was fantastic. With a lot of hard work I am now home, can walk and even went back to work. If you have someone who needs help I would highly recommend Kindred -Wildwood. "

"My dad is already in Golden Livingcenter – Brookview and it's good. The room that he's in is really nice. He's in the Hall of Heroes, which is where they have their veterans, which is newly updated and very nice. They have Bingo, karaoke, table ball, movies, soccer, church, family game day, and prom. The staff is nice and the place is clean and well-maintained. On the side that he's on, there's a deck with tables and chairs. They have two spacious dining areas."

"Rosewalk took my friend for hospice care for end stage Alzheimers after another nursing home's lack of care resulted in bedsores, dehydration and severe infection. I had already contacted Rosewalk about transferring her before this happened, but when it did, I assumed hospice would happen in hospital. Rosewalk staff still came to the hospital to evaluate her and accepted her for care. They took wonderful care of my friend! With a special wheelchair, she was up and dressed every day, and kept near nursing staff all the time. She was fed and the intake amounts monitored and reported, and when things worsened, they got her a special mattress to prevent bedsores and shift her side to side. Because Rosewalk is very close to my home, I was able to pop in anytime and I never once had cause for concern. Everyone in contact with her could give me good details about how she had done that day. My daughter in law's mother is now in another facility at a very young age, and I would strongly encourage her to transfer to Rosewalk if there is an opening. They take good care of the residents, it is clean, and for the most part, cheerful. That part is very important. I never felt like any of the staff were resentful or grouchy. I am very grateful for the quality of life and care they gave to my friend."
