Wildwood Healthcare Center was horrible and deplorable. There's no communication and the residents are not getting meds. The food is also horrible. It was bland and it stinks. It doesn't look good and the menu is always wrong. I read marble cake with white icing, but it was a marble cake with peanut butter and icing. My loved one said he wanted a lemonade, but he got whatever they gave him. It's bad and there's a huge problem with mixing clothes up in the laundry. There's drug activity out there. There's alcohol. There's a lot that goes on out there. The staff is half and half. It's like you can't run a tight ship if your crew's not doing the job. Your boat's going to sink. It's the same thing with them. I don't know who's at fault, because there's always tension between employees. Like "I don't know why they moved him there." "I moved him in here because...", "I don't know why they did that." Seemed like they pretty much get along sometimes, but the care, to me, there's like a lot of goofing off. Matter of fact, my loved one was so upset yesterday, because he kept hitting his buzzer button and someone was supposed to come down there to take him to go smoke a cigarette. We were on three-way calls with Medicare, Medicaid yesterday, and Social Security, and these were long calls that we were on, and that whole entire time no one came to take him for a cigarette. Finally, I got off the phone, I called him back, it was like a couple of hours later, and I said "You got your cigarette in there, right?" He's like, "Yeah, but I got left outside forever because no one took me back in." It's just awful. I was there another day and we have some very, very hot days here in the US, but there was a gentleman outside that was in the smoking area and he's out there having a seizure. There was no urgency to it. They still have this gentleman outside in the heat just baking in the sun and they were standing around him. I have a family member that has seizures and you need to make sure they're not biting their tongue and this and that and maybe be a little bit more responsive to him and it was like a bunch of nurses just standing there over him like "Yeah, we called someone." "Yeah, they're on their way." There was no urgency. In emergencies like that, there should have been some type of call on the radio. They are supposed to monitor that guy's health. It seemed like they should have been a little bit more alert. Nobody in there wears a pin around their neck, like a medical alert, which all these other facilities offer. They don't offer that. You get a call button that no one comes and it's hard to get in the door to get in the building to see your loved ones. They did not give my loved one any type of information about any activities. There's none in his room. So, he doesn't have any idea about anything nor myself and another family member that comes in every 2 to 3 days. We haven't been given any documentation about the facility, its layout, and what they offer. I've seen this veteran guy one day that went there to see his brother and he's like, "Man, I gotta get him out of here. Feels like a prisoner here. I'm trying to get my brother out." It's horrible. It's like you put your loved one in there to not get care, to get their money taken, and get their stuff stolen. It's not a good place at all. I was out there with my dad's car outside the building. A resident came outside and smoked weed with family members. The first day I went, there was alcohol that was being ordered for DoorDash. The nurses were like "They don't need that in here." The guy said, "I got to take it to the person, so they paid for it." So they got it. This shouldn't be going on. That could be monitored a lot more. Another day I was outside with my dad and he's outside smoking in front of the building, where people come and go and out, and they're all out there getting drunk. One guy sat there and passed out drunk in the heat. I had to wake him up. He wasn't moving and I told the nurses, "Hey, this guy out here needs to be brought in." In that facility, there's no independent apartment. Everybody has a roommate. There is no microwave. No fridge. They share a bathroom and they have little baby TVs in there. It's probably almost the same size as your computer screen monitors when most elderly people's eyesight goes bad. Also, how can two people watch TV in a room with TVs that are loud? It's a stressful situation.

My stepdad was at Wildwood Healthcare Center. He was in long-term care there. They absolutely suck. It stinks. You walk in the door, and you smell poop. And there are people everywhere. It almost reminds you of a mental institution like people are out in their wheelchairs or sitting in the hallway and there's pee underneath their wheelchairs from where they haven't been changed in for so long. The rooms are crappy. Their furniture hasn't been updated in I don't know how many years. It's bad. They don't check on them at all. I feel bad for the people that don't have family visiting (and there's not a lot of families that visit there) because every time that I was there, I've never seen another family there. I had to stick up for my stepdad's roommates because nobody was there to check on them. There was his neighbor that was half-dressed half the time and he'd have peed all over his bed. A second roommate that came in had a pee bag that had exploded and was all over the floor on both sides, my stepdad's side and his side, and nobody had noticed, so I had to go get them. One of the reasons I felt bad about transferring my stepdad to another place was because I felt bad that I wasn't going to be there for his roommates anymore. They fed my stepdad, but I had multiple conversations with the kitchen staff because the meat that he would get was probably the size of a very small Salisbury steak that you would get frozen and that is all the meat that he would get. He's allergic to dairy or whatever, and instead of substituting the sides that he would have gotten, he just didn't get anything. He would get maybe some meat and that was it. It was bad. We had to bring food out there constantly because he didn't have enough food to eat to keep him going. They need to improve on everything. Somebody needs to go in there and look at that place. It's horrible. In terms of value for the money, I don't know how much it was, but I would say it's not worth paying to have anybody there.

A friend was at Wildwood Healthcare Center about two years ago. It's a full nursing home. I didn't like it very much. It would not be somewhere I would put my loved one if I could avoid it. It had a certain smell. It didn't smell fresh and I went there quite a bit. I went there maybe two or three times a week for over a month. One time my friend ended up in a part where they had a contagious illness and they didn't put a sign up on the door. When I went to visit, I didn't know. I walked in, and I wasn't prepared and didn't have a mask. It was before COVID, so no one was wearing masks back then unless you were around something that was contagious. It just wasn't the cleanest looking place. The rooms were pretty small. There's nothing special. It's not a luxury place. I don't have any great things to say about the visibility of the room itself. There was a table that' was kind of small, and there were two people in the room. The food was OK. She didn't have a lot of complaints about the food. Their dining area had some tables. It wasn't horrible like trash everywhere or anything like that. It was moderately clean. The nurses were nice and explained things and did what the doctor said. However, her doctor didn't come every morning on their rounds and it seemed like a lot of her treatments and questions were delayed. It wasn't a smooth process as far as the doctors.

I have a relative at this facility and I visit from time to time, I am appalled at the way the employees act, cussing through out the hallways, Talking and texting while inoring the residents and call lights. Residents drinking and smoking pot in the courtyard even that staff see .them and they do nothing but laugh. The food is always cold due to sitting in the hallway for up to an hour at a time. The CNAs are very disrespectful.

I wouldn't send my pet bird to this place. Too many CNA's on staff who just talk or smoke. Most everyone smells like cigarettes or vape. No differences between physical rehab people and the nursing home patients. The food was cold and/or with flies. I almost ided in it when I was bleeding out. Only saved when a transport happened to the hospital. Never again!

I wouldn't send my pet here to die. They ignored call lights for over an hour. They forgot my relative was there apparently, even with the call light on. Missed pain medication for a cancer patient. My relative couldn't swallow a whole pill and they sometimes refused to break it in half. He missed at least 3 meals. The staff claim it was delivered. He complained about the food not being fit for a dog. They lost his personal clothing. He had a doctors appointment, he was over an hour late because of the facility. The staff acted like he was privileged to be there. Never again!!!

My POA staid at the Nursing Home there at Wildwood on 16th st. in Indianapolis, In. was horrible. Nurses lied to us and I had to take him out of there before the month was up. They told me they wood reinverse me for the money that I had coming to us for the days he was not there. But they only reinversed me for about a forth of what I had coming to us. I loss $678, in the deal. Plus they did not take care of him and he went down hill. Nurses were rude and uncareing. I would not put my worst enemy in that place. I would give no stars but they make me.

I had an accident at work and fell and broke my neck. After weeks in the hospital and in the Rehab Hospital. When I discharged from the Rehab hospital I went to Kindred -Wildwood. The care there was excellent. All the nurses and c.n.a.'s were friendly and joked around with me which made time go fast. Activities gave me crossword puzzles and movies to help time pass by.The therapy there was fantastic. With a lot of hard work I am now home, can walk and even went back to work. If you have someone who needs help I would highly recommend Kindred -Wildwood.
