My Aunt is at Pinehurst, which is a nursing home that is located in Centerville IN. Pinehurst isn't a bad place; they take good care of my Aunt; however it feels more like a hospital than a home. When you walk in you walk down a hallway with no color or anything that would attract a person's attention. It even smells like a hospital. I don't ever see them do any games or "fun time". I have had dinner with my aunt a few times and the food isn't the best. There isn't a big verity of food to choose from. Again it seems that the people who live there are more like in a hospital than a facility in which they live. But like I said they do provide and take great care of all the people that live there and I guess in the end that is what matters.

My sister was a resident of this facillity for about 2 years. Her care was adequite, but in my opinion there is never enough staff available for all the residents needs. The residents have both good and bad days where it is difficlt for them to follow a rotinue. The facillity doesn't always have enough employees available for the extra care these residents need on their bad days. This is not to say I think they were neglegent in their care so much as I think the scheduling for food, bathing, meds, and activities has to be rushed if the caregivers are to see to each resident they are assigned per shift. Most of my sisters caregivers while she was there wre very good and for that reason I still take her by there for short visits with them.
