My grandmother was a resident at Countryside and I cannot say enough, how great their staff is! She was a new dialysis patient and Countryside's therapy team did a great job working around her chair time as well as the care team providing support to our family. Countryside's team truly made my grandmother feel apart of their family. We've been told they are opening an in house dialysis center and should she need any rehab, she said Countryside is the only way to go!

My mom is currently at Countryside Family-first Senior Living. The place is dark. When you first come in the door, you can see through the hallway to the other side of the building. It took her over a year to finally get friends. They don't push as many activities for them to do. The social worker is really nice and attentive, but it seems like she's a little overwhelmed with a lot of people and not a lot of help. When they have enough staff, they are attentive, and they're doing everything possible that they can. But they'll spend a half an hour with you right now getting everything you need - food, clean, oxygen, and whatever. After that half an hour, you might not see them until the next day. They have a movie room where they do coloring, bingo, and movies. And then they have a big cafeteria that I like.

Countryside Health & Living Community was horrible and terribly understaffed. It's a big facility and it looked good on the outside, but nobody came to see us for 20 minutes. They didn't have staff schedules nor activities posted. The activities person took us to the long-term care facility even though we asked for rehab. There were beds parked in the aisleways, and there was food sitting out on trays. The staff said we needed to come back on Monday and make an appointment. I wouldn't take anybody there. They had a giant rehab room and short-term stay rooms. I wouldn't have eaten the food based on what I saw, and the place was a mess and untidy.

My husband is a resident of Countryside, which is owned by Cardon. We wanted more assisted living. The layout of the place is great, but the staff is kind of rude. They're not friendly, not welcoming, and it's like they're there for a paycheck and that's it. They just don't pay attention to what he wants, like he doesn't want white bread and likes sweet bread, but they keep giving him white bread, and little things like that. He was in another place, which is its sister community, and it was so much better than this place. I have seen activities like bingo and so on. They need more help and their nurses need to be more friendly. When my husband first got there, they didn't come and greet him until six hours later, and I think that's all wrong. When I asked the nurse if she was going to go and see my husband, she said she had three admissions and needed to do all the paperwork first before seeing the patient. The nurse should have be there when the orderlies brought him in.
