"My father recooperated at Miranda Hills after his stroke. He received the best care from all the nurse and therapists he worked with. He was happy and comfortable. We the family knew he was in good hands. The place was clean and fresh and all the personal was friendly at all times. If needed we will come here again . I highly recommend Mirada Hills to anyone. "Imperial Healthcare Center is a good center. The nurses are very skilled and very attentive to my dad, so I appreciate that. It's a clean facility and anytime we ask them for anything for my dad, they get it right away. So, overall, I like it. His room is shared with another person and they do physical therapy with him where they take him to a little gym, as well as occupational and speech therapy. It's just the building is a little older."

"The facility is amazing. I had my grandpa and my grandma here, and the care was excellent. The staff was very attentive towards my grandparents, as well as focused on making sure my family and I felt that we were comfortable too. Additionally, the therapy team did a fantastic job of rehabilitating my grandpa post surgery. On a side note, My grandma attended the activities regularly so it must have been fun for her. Judging by the calendar of events, they have a lot of things for your loved ones to do. I would highly recommend this facility."

"She’s in Park Regency Retirement Home. It’s very good. The difficulty with them right now in my mother’s current condition is that she’s isolated in a room at the end of the hallway. She had difficulty trying to pull the cord for nurses’ help. She doesn’t have anyone to talk to throughout the day other than the occasional visit from a caregiver and the normal rounds. But for the most part, she’s satisfied. To improve, they can provide more staff to spend more time with bed-bound patients. "

"I visited a close friend of mine who's loving his stay at St. Elizabeth. The staff were super welcoming and friendly and checked in on my friend often. He said the food was better than expected with lots of variety and felt he was recovering faster than expected too. His follow up doctors have all been impressed with his progress. The facility smelled nice and seemed very clean. I'm glad there are people that are passionate about elderly care, and I feel safe with him at St. Elizabeth. "

"The care is better than we received at the local hospital. The staff is very patient oriented. There was one small problem, in that a dressing change that resulted in an infection requiring a ambulance transport to the hospital with a billing of ER care and ambulance. When faced with the back charge, the facility hesitated and has not credited. Buit again the care was commendable. "

"My father stayed in St. Jude Medical Center rehab for 2 weeks. It’s an acute rehab within an acute care hospital. It’s a very well respected program, and the staff was very good. They have very few wards where there are two or three beds. It’s clean and the rehab center is well run. They have all forms of rehab. They have OT, PT, and physical medicine. This was where we wanted him, and it worked out perfectly well. He went from the acute side to the rehab side so we never had to leave the building. "

"My mom had therapy in Whittier Pacific Care Center (Shea Rehabilitation Healthcare). Their therapy group was amazing. We had a private room, and it was great. But other than the therapy, their service was bad. The employees there were overloaded, they have a lot of patients to change every hour, so they're always rushing. Their food though was very good. They don't have many activities for the residents. They just watch TV or watch a movie, and most of the people just hang out in their chairs and that's basically it. If it wasn't for their therapy group I would rate them a low score."

"My mom falls and breaks her hips, and she is in Buena Park Nursing Center right now. It is spotless. It is very clean, and she is having excellent care. However, I had to change in even a couple of times because she is not getting the stuff needed. The communication between doctors, nurses, hospital staff, and the head people are really poor, because they are supposed to be careful with her, but the pain comes out of hip and nobody even knows it until they take her to a doctor. I did complain, and I said, "That is not acceptable. I mean, you guys didn't even know that was going on?" "

"My mom is at The Orchard, and her stay was OK. Their facility is nice and clean. The people that work there seemed caring. They are better than average, but there are some things that they need to improve. It seems like that they have a lot of staff for each resident. I like that they would take my mom if she is having a bad day or a bad time to the nurses' desk for her to sit with them. "

"My mom was at Norwalk Skilled Nursing for about three months. The facility was referred to us when she still in the hospital. It was a very good home for my mom. I really liked it there. The staff were very loving, caring, and friendly. Anytime we have questions, they were willing to help us with. Her room wasn't too big and she has a roommate. They also had some kind of activity going. They were getting tired of the food because it's the same food over and over. There are also a couple of times when I went there I noticed a smell on the place. "

"I went to visit a friend at Park Vista Health Center. She is recuperating from a broken hip. It's a lovely facility, but I hate computers, and I think they should just have people signed in. They have everything that I have noticed other facilities are having. The staff members are very helpful. Her room looks clean, and she seems comfortable. I didn't see a dining room, but there must be one. She's not able to get out of bed as far as the broken hip is concerned. I did notice some kind of physical therapy going on. The facility is very well maintained. I haven't had a meal and she doesn't have an appetite, but it looked good. There's a library to the left of the front desk. She seems to be doing well. The other reason I noticed that it might be a good idea to just have people signed in (and I realize with Covid they have to take your temp) is because her son has epileptic seizures and he was with me, and it takes him forever to use the computer to put his name and phone number and so forth. They helped, which was very kind of them. I also noticed a gentleman that had probably come to see a friend or a relative (he's about my age and I'm 80), so sometimes it would be better if they could speed things up, so people don't have to stand there."

"I had a tour of this facility. They are a locked facility - about 200 beds or so - it is quiet large. They specialize in caring for the mentally ill and dementia patients. The dementia unit is really nice and quite - and I liked how they have a picture of the patient on the front of their room. This is really helpful for the patient when they are looking for their room. All the untils are locked and it is very secure. I was impressed with the little things they do for the patients - like providing pizza and donuts for them. The downside is that it is located on a very busy street and it is part of a very large corporation. I would consider this facility. "
